Mike's writeup is here btw: http://mikemercury.home.att.net/sound.htm
I have to install some HIDs if you want to do a mini-project.

1) how many beers I have in me.
2) how much I dislike you at the momemnt
In all seriousness -- I was reading about this and it seems pretty straight forward. At least it won't be jacking the car up and crawling under it.
Would you be putting insulation in the rear and front? The front is the part that looks the most difficult.
What kind of insulation are you using -- dynamat?

2-- No beers until your done........
3-- everyong likes me until I tell them NOT to anymore.....
SO there!!!!!!!!!!!
I am changing out my sway bars in a few weeks for Z06 bars and at the same time adding the GHL Bullets that are being ordered Monday.
so I would say I am getting better at doing my own MODs. Let me see if I can take some pics for you while it is still up on ramps in the garage...
Aren't you in NYC? I live in Hazlet, NJ not too far of a run...
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Would like to do some other mods , but not sure which ones.
Everything is stock except for the Halltech. I did that one myself.
Oh yeah.......HIGH SPEED PERFORMANCE HOOD SEAL.....!!!!!
Not sure what the difference is between the Frost King and the Dynamat....but I hear the Dyna is much more expensive. If it is that much better I would be willing to pay the cost.
NABBS>>>>>Hows the West Village treating you sweetness!!!
Yah I'll definately lend a hand. Do you need tools and is there parking by you? Do it on a weekend.

Have a great holiday everyone!!!
I only did the rear tub and I am doing behind the seats, but I do not have plans to take the seats out and do that part. I may do the wheel wells, but I have to see what this sounds like frist before making that decision.
It would be easy in an afternoon to do the Fog Lamps, Flush mount the tails, CAGS (15 mins) and lower the car if you are looking to do that or some combination of that (about 1.0 hours each). The Frost King itself would take a full day. Laying out the long strips is easy, but the small cuts take up some time.
Do you have the CLB installed yet? That would take aobut 45 mins at the most.
I have everything needed to get these things done if you are in the mood to drive over.
You probably need to lay out what you want done and then plan what can be done in a reasonable time. I have a list of what I want done and then I just keep checking it off.
BTW - I work on Water Street in the city....

I already Flush Mounted the tail lights.( i always forget about that).
Might consider the CLB.
Frost King it is. No smell . Your the first one to mention that. I would like to do the entire interior. CAGS maybe.......I dont realy rev that low for it to be an issue......that might explain my lack of rubber at 4K miles.
Lowering isnt an option since I live in NYC> Two speed bumps going into my apartment and a slight dip going into the garage.
But thanks. Sounds good to me. Now if NABBS ever gets his alternative lifestyle butt to NYC , we can maybe think about planning this and driving out to Jersey!!!!
Maybe ALex can come with the Hooters girls!@
I am surprise that you don't have the CLB. Many people have issues with the column lock on MN6s and they end up stranded somewhere. I would put that on your list. I did mine in 45 mins with no problems.
Installing the CAGS is really about 10 mins which includes lifting the car. I like it, but it is a personel choice.
After I do my exhaust then I would consider myself able to help you with that if that comes up....
My garage is available so wheneven you want to come over we can get to do some things...
Sounds like WW knows what he's doing, and has the bonus of having done this exact same mod before.
Of course my car has even less sound insulation than you guys, headers, louder exhaust, bigger nosier tires -- and I don't plan to add any sound insulation

FJ -- when are you planning to do this? Do you have all the stuff already?
Oh and why can't we organize this off of CF

Just tossing the idea around.
Tools: Like I said...I have the basic tool set....but I do have the TORX screwdriver set. Needed it to do the tail lights.
Hey Wicked....any chance you have a TINT installer nearby. Would be great to do this all in one day as I am impatient!
Oh yeah...also looking to cut the stock shifter.....!!

1- Seats
2- arm rest/center dash
3- lower dash valance
4- Misc interior trim/kick panels.
Then you have to cut and test fit the insulation, and of course re-assemble stuff. Since this is all interior trim stuff you could take everything out and close the car up without completing and not worry about pissing off your garage-mates. If we run into a snag at WW place you are SOL. I would much rather see you take your time and get it right then have to rush so that you can get back home.
I have the torque specs and sizes for all C5 bolts -- I'll check what is entailed for the seats shortly, but in the interim check out the link I posted.
The last option is to just drop the car off and have a stereo place do the installation for you. Sure it may be more $$, but it may be worth it to you at the end of the day.
hth,

PS -- Can we start organizing NYC things on YP? WickedWeasel if you haven't checked out YP yet, please do
CF is great, but you'll get more ppl on YP then on CF for localish events.
I you need some advice or hands just let me know.

FJ -- Man up! Tell us what you want to do, otherwise I'm gonna get folks to wrench on my car instead
