If I were you, I'd get in to another Lexus.

If you are considering an Armada look at an 08' LE they are starting to come in now, the body lines are cleaned up and it inherited the super plush interior out of the Infiniti QX56 for 08'.

I've never driven a Lexus but have spent a lot of seat time in an Escalade. They're great. Stereo is awesome, seats very comfy, many creature comforts. Mash the pedal and you'll be amazed...both at acceleration, as well as seeing the gas guage move!

Mercedes w/ diesel motor
or
Lincoln Navigator L (personally the new Navigator is not as "blingy" as the old one) however it has many convenience features. My wife stated, "it is more tasteful" than the old ones and the Caddy.
Both have the power 3rd row seat.
Nav. L is bigger and has optional power running boards. Almost pulled the trigger on the Nav. L Ultimate, but I made a swinging deal on a Brand New '06 MegaCab Laramie Dodge 3500 4x2 w/ 5.9L Cummins...(under $31K totally decked out and 0% financing...that is stealing money and allowing max Roth contributions and then some ). Now all I need is a PaceEdwards fullmetaljacketrabbit retractable top and I'm set.
Wife and I looked at everything you are looking at for a year and the Nav.L Ultimate and the Mercedes w/ diesel and the Ford Expedition EL Limited (with load leveling air suspension) and the MegaCab were on the final list. The price on the truck sold us. Wife didn't like the site lines in the Lexus but liked everything else. GM didn't even rank due to the manual lift out 3rd row on all 3 Denali XL/Burb/Escalade ESV.
We only have two kids so the truck is just fine.

The Mercedes and Armada have much worse than average repair histories, so stay away from them, please! I have the RX400h and laugh every time I skip a week from getting gas. We average 25 MPG and that's with my somewhat heavy foot during the weekends - awesome vehicle and awesome fuel mileage!

If you like the Escalade, but want less bling, I'd seriously consider the Yukon Denali. Wife and I drove one and were very impressed. It's on our short list for next SUV purchase.
