Doesn't have those stupid suicide doors, either.
I think the crewmax is a ridiculous vehicle.
I just did a little more HW, didn't realize the doublecab had regular doors on it. That's cool, but the handles look kinda ghey, but at least they aren't suicide doors like I thought. Thought the crewmax had those small handles(and was the only one with 4 standard doors), then I saw more pics of how has the full handles, and lame shortbox
If I were looking for a truck, I'd sure give the Toyota a gook looking over. At least, with Toyota, if they do need to do a recall, "they git it done", unlike GM. Anyone remember the C5 steering column recall, and recall, and recall.

Guess you forgot about all the lawsuits filed before Toyoda decided to do something about the engine oil sludge issue.
Though the driveshaft thing is a supplier problem, not a design flaw in the Tundra.
So Toyota is not responsible for it? : You don't buy a truck and choose the manufacturer for your driveshaft. Toyota gives the design specs, and is responsible for seeing the product meets the specs, same as if it is made in their facility.q
