Default Brake lights stopped working... HELP Please...

I have a 1995 Integra GSR, stock... The car had been in the garage for the past few days and took it out today for a while. A person pulled up next to me at a red light and told me my brake lights were not working. I checked the fuse, it was good, bulbs looked good, other lights and turn signals work fine, just no brake lights.

I did recently have the ac compressor replaced at the local Acura dealership a few days ago but everything seemed fine leaving the dealer.

Does anyone know what might be the trouble?

Thanks for any help or thoughts you can offer!

There should be a brake light switch somewhere on the brake pedal assembly go under the dash near the pedal and look up you should be able to see it most only have 2 small wires and look like a door jamb switch only made of plastic.

Sometimes the wires just fall off.

I would first check to see if 12 volts is being sent to the bulbs while the brake pedal is depressed. Do this by disconnecting the brake light wire connector and check voltage with a multimeter while someone is stepping on the brakes. If the meter shows 12V, it's not the brakelight switch and is most likely the bulbs.

I couldn't even get close to getting under the dang dash behind the brake pedal...
