Hey guys, I have been building this car off and on for approximately 5 years now and it is finally starting to look like something.

The tub of the car is a 71 camaro,
ttop roof is from 81 z,
doors, fenders, rear spoiler are from the 71 camaro
hood is aftermarket all steel functional bolt on
upper and lower valance panels are aftermarket
rear fender flares are from the 81z
dash is from 71 ( with aftermarket cover)
seats and door panels are from a 77
rear end is from 79 trans am with factory disc
inner fenders are from 79 trans am.
center console is from 81z
carpet and headliner both aftermarket and new
rear interior panels are from 77
wheels are from 85 IROC 16inch
I have two engines, 305 ho out of the 81z, it is mint, no power though, i have a low mileage 350 out of a 72 camaro. I have never heard it run.

Why are there such huge fender gaps. Is it going to be all-wheel drive?

Well, it's not a Mazda so it will never be up to your standards.

I'm guessing having no drivetrain or interior in it has a lot to do with how high it's sitting. I'm also guessing he hasn't exactly finalized the suspension or ride height. Seriously dude, I don't know why you even bother to post bs like that.

Anyway, OP do yourself a favor and put a real RS front clip on it. Don't be like every other idiot with a non-RS early 2nd gen that just runs the split bumpers with the wrong lights/nose etc.

TJ is right, this is far from being done, it is just the roller at this point. Also, those are 14inch rims and the previous owner installed stiffer springs in the front for a big block.

I am going to pull those out and I have a nice set of 16inch rims for it.

As far as the front nose, I am probably going to stay with the standard front end until I can get a sweetheart deal on the rs nose. The appearance doesnt warrant the cost in this stage of the build. However if the right deal came along I probably would swap.

Engine wise, I have a carb and turbo set up from a Grand National that I am thinking of installing on the 350 engine I have. I just picked up a set of side pipes for it so its progressing right along.

thanks for viewing

Nothing in the OP's post indicated that the engine and tranny were missing, so for you to call my question BS is totally unwarranted. The car as it sits looks very strange compared to the pic I posted. Most folks, I think would agree.
