This is the second reference to this so your post seems spot on.

We also have engine order data for a 4.2 TT. And the Cadillac chief staring the 4.2 is Cadillac only. So there is a chance of Caddy mid engine.

my hope is the Vette stays as a striped down blue collor sports car and the caddy is outfitted as the wanna be high end snob mobile for this interested in that type of thing.

They can probably get 150-250lbs out of the chassis and frame with new alloys and construction techniques. A current Camaro SS -200lbs would be right around the weight of a no-option Z06. Take out another 100 from other changes and you’re at the weight of a base model 2020 Supra, but with 120hp more.

Of course, 300lbs in weight savings is a reach considering that they need to make the next Camaro larger and more liveable, but 250 is doable.
