Which enabled them to buy those warm meals during the forced charging stops on long highway trips, while never venturing very far from the charging stations located on Interstate highways. But that's ok because we allow the car to schedule our route for us, we don't decide how we want to go.
troof...

No official word on price yet but one early reservation holder claimed it was $98990 for the Tri-Motor
Range is expected to be just around 300 miles for the dual motor and like 360 miles for the tri-motor

Because the suspension and frame will not be adequate. There are new diesel F250's that don't have 3,000 pounds of carrying capacity. And they are not carrying around all that battery mass.
And you have to contend with the rating of the tires as well.
Again, I may be wrong, but I just don't see that truck carrying that much weight and doing it safely

And this thing looks to have 6-lug aluminum wheels. Also, are the motors back at the wheels? How does a full floating rear end work out? There's a real important reason for those on mid-duty trucks. I can break an axle on my 3500 and keep driving down the road except for one hell of a racket.

Moot point now that Ramcharger is unveiled. There's a right way to do an EV truck, and Ramcharger is it.

Hahaha only 11k pounds and 320, if they’re lucky and not towing, miles for $100k. Less than 100 miles if towing. Hard pass

They actually got it to be a little cheaper than I expected. What's with the torque numbers? Is that some kinda Tesla math they use to make it sound more impressive, because last I checked 10k lb ft of torque would shred any tire one can think of.
Certainly not of any use as a truck, but for the Tesla loving crowd that might occasionally go to home Depot and so clearly needs a pickup truck, I guess it could make sense?
I dunno at 100k I can think of plenty of things that are as fast and tow neearly the same (still more than enough), and won't be worse inside than a Kia. I don't see it being particularly viable, though if it's bulletproof then it might become the vehicle of choice for street pharmacists and other gang members. Wonder if that's enough range to get from a cartel stronghold and across the border...

Very disappointed with the range of the top model. 320 miles is quite a lot below the promised 500 miles.. The AWD model has better range, more than promised BUT at $79990 before tax credit, I may pass on that one as well.
Looks like I will be keeping my Model X Plaid until a 450+ mile Tesla is available.
I'm not surprised by the price of the top model and wouldn't mind paying $100k for 500 mile range.. However, I won't pay $100k for 320 mile range. No fking way.

You're way WAY better off with the plaid than that ugly thing....

Nobody actually thought that it was gonna have a 600ile range right? That's just the Kool aid and hubris talking right? A battery that size would be like 250KWh and weigh like 6000 pounds on its own. Probably cost $150k for just the battery too, lol.
