Default Busted!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, even careful drivers can have a bad day. Marysvilles finest caught me doing 10 over at 5:00 Am. Serious... First speeding ticket in 18 years. And, was the exact same deal as 18 years ago. Slow &@^#%& driver at 10 under the entire lenght of the road. When I get a chance to go around, they speed up. You know, it actually does make me feel better knowing they got 1 ticket more then myself.

Oh well, spring is near and all is well in my world. Guess I'll have to be a good boy for the next year.

Don't dismay. Think about how you have reduced the state deficit down to something closer to 2.3 billion. Or at least Marysville's deficit.

Think of it as some sort of patriotic duty.

I hope you're right about the cretin holding you up getting caught for his more serious indescretion.

Patriotic duty you say? Maybe I'll write that ticket off my 2010 tax return???

Yes, they did receive 2 tickets.

LOL, I guess you are assuming that my Corvette is the only vehicle I have? I was driving my truck there Tim. You need to be helping out a fellow club member as well mister.

You know it's the truth. I'm actually ashamed of how much attention I put into my driving habits right now. I really enjoy driving every single day and try very hard to drive in a proper manner. So what's the point? I'm not even going to tell you all how slow I drive my Vette. I'm sure my Vette card would get pulled.

Maybe I'm just getting older.

Maybe not, looking at getting a V1 or 9500IX right now.

The great news here is that THEY got busted!!

Seems the LEO should have been a bit lenient since you were passing and STILL was only ten over.....good grief.

Any idea what the other driver got cited for? Sounds like you were caught by a revenue collector. Where everyone gets to share the joy of being stopped and chatted with. Gift citations are just a bonus to help their local community balance their Govt. budget.

The down side to living in a small town these days.

I've been seeing a lot of speed 'traps' in the minor municipalities of Fife, Milton, Sumner, Bonney Lake and my little city, Edgewood.

We are all just revenue streams for someone else.

There is no way they are not out there to get your money now. I've been driving since the 80's and got my first ticket last year. Girlfriend got her first ticket ever also.

This isn't an LEO slam as my grandpa was state patrol and my dads best friend a police chief.
It's a complaint against thier bosses that are directing them to have zero tolerance or understanding and ticket everything they see no matter how small just to collect money for the cities pet projects.
Which just drives me to then boycott all spending within the city that ticketed me so they have a net loss more than they gained from my ticket.

Was a local 2 wheeler. For 1 to 2 seconds at 10 over my bill is $124.00. He was at the right location and time of day. To bad going 10 under for 2 miles just before doesn't count for anything.
Anyway, got caught and I'll pay up.

It sucks when the timing is bad like that! But the other driver getting tickets too makes it a little better! (Unless of course, this makes them start to drive 15 below the limit... and you get stuck behind them again! ).

I don't know if the ticket will impact your insurance or not, but you might consider having the ticket deferred. It's a PITA because you have to go into court and tell the judge you want it deferred, and then you have to be good for a full year afterwards... and the court fee for the deferral will be more than the ticket (probably $150). BUT... it won't show up on your driving record, so the tradeoff in insurance $ may be worth it.

My insurance would have gone up about $300/year (3 cars), so keeping the good driver discount was worth about $1000. Definitely worth the costs of the deferral for me.

I Told you so at work. HaHa. Same area I got mine back in Sept. $93.00 is what it cost me. He caught me in my Vett doing 14 over but wrote it for 10 over. I was driving to work. and ""O my god"" it was raining.

They've been out in force on I-405 this week, more so than usual. I don't do anything crazy...~68mph...which helps during my 52 mile commute. None the less I'm sure 68 would be frowned upon. Sooooo...

Gotta love my V1
