Would anyone on the forum know of a good Orange that really looks good? And a picture if possible would be great. . I just think Orange is not something you see all of the time.
Well I must say that I have been seriously looking at that Lamborghini Orange Pearl. Lars here on the forum painted his Nova with the same color. But I have not seen it in person. And well the pictures just do not show it very well. If you have seen this in person please give some feed back on it?

That's my car so I have seen it in person.
Being a pearl the color presents itself in many different shades and colors. It can look anything from pearl gold to a solid burnt orange depending on the light conditions.
Here are some more pics in different light to show you the spectrum of colors you will get with this color.

I shot the 0058 color on the Nova that you've seen pictures of. It's pretty impressive, and draws a crowd every time it comes out of the trailer at the track. The other big bonus with that color is that it's really easy to shoot, and it lays down very nice - easiest tri-coat I've ever shot.

You're right that the pictures don't realy do the car justice. My only real complaint with the color would be that, in the shade or on a cloudy day the color is somewhat subdued. Like you can see in the snow pic, sometimes the color looks like a solid non pearl burnt orange almost rust. My friends says I'm nuts so I guess it's just a personal preference thing.
The Arancio Borealis addresses this and is more orange and less gold. It stays a brighter orange in the shade.
I agree with Lars that the color always draws a crowd. Matching the paint after repair is not easy.
This was the first color (LOE2) my son wanted me to shoot on his '76 and after hearing it was tri-color I kind of shied away from it not to mention the fact that it would be a bear to match when it got nicked plus the $1,200 bill for materials that I was quoted.
Now he is after a HOK candy job however I'm kind of leaning towards the SPI orange since this is a street car. If it was a show car then I think the Lambo L0E2 would be a no brainer.
How hard would you guys rate this paint job to touch up, I'm assuming one would need to re-shoot the whole panel.
Also as an alternative, has anyone used the ALSA base pearls, if so, what did you think of them.
