Default C4 hood problems

I have noticed on my own, as well as on many other c4 hoods, that the paint blisters, or lifts off along the front edge. I spent many hours last summer, stripping the old layers of paint off my hood. Laying down a couple coats of epoxy primer, as to not have this problem, and low and behold, it happened again. Anybody else have this problem? Or has anyone else noticed it on as many other c4's as i have? Please advise.

What did the SMC look like when you had all of the paint removed BEFORE you applied an epoxy primer?

Was there a/an area that looked darker than the normal light gray color...where the blisters were located?

Mine gets worse with water so I have been using a dry wash/wax to keep it clean & not make things worse...

..or possibly some other type of contaminent making its way through your SMC. If the dark spot goes away...it is more than likely water that is trapped in the cavity where the understructure and the outer hood panel skin are bonded together. This can occur if you use a pressure washer or high pressure water a lot under the hood to keep it clean. Water will find its way into area that were not designed to allow water to escape...and BANG...out comes a blister. Just my thoughts..because I have seen it before also.
