Default Paint shop needed...

Hey guys. I'm tired of dealing with the shops around here and their poor color matching. Last year I went to Autobuffs and couldn't have been happier but we know they aren't around anymore. I've been to a local paint shop 3 times and the still have the color wrong so I'm looking elsewhere. If anyone knows of a great shop within a couple hours of Delaware (De,Md,Va,NJ or Pa) please let me know. Thanks so much guys.

What are you trying to have painted to match...and are they trying to "butt-match" it? Usually a yellow is not that hard to match and blend if there is enough area from the damaged area to be able to blend... before you get into the adjacent panel. This yellow still CAN be somewhat "touchy"...in regards to getting the color right. BUT as I have found out. Spending the time shooting test panels is much better than dipping a paint stick in the can and looking at it against the factory color. Especially if you are not spraying a large area where a blend can hide the difference in color.

Sorry for not answering your original question...but I do not know anyone in your area that paints Corvettes correctly....that I would stake my reputation on.

Just trying to help...and needed some info...that's all.

Thanks for the help. It's ok that you don't have a shop. But if you should come across a good shop, let me know.
