Hey Guys need some help.My 75 passenger side mirror is so woobly where it mounts to the door it's embarrasing. I changed well nuts thinking they weren't getting tight enough. It's still bad any ideas ya'll would care to share? I've thought of installing a back up plate from behind, but kinda worried about stress cracks. I've looked around at other cars and they seem super tight.
It could be the bracket that screws to the well nuts or mirror itself. I had a sloppy passenger mirror with a new kit and it was a loose fittin bracket, installed new bracket from paragon and fixed it.

YEP...I know the fix that does away with the well-nuts entirely. Call me and I can tell you how to do this.....and yes it can be done because I have done it numerous times....but it does take a bit of time and PATIENCE.
The procedure will take a bit of time on the phone...and forever to type out...so a call from you might be in your best interest.
The bracket is suspect. My plan is small flat plate tack on some nuts then tack a heavy wire to bracket for positioning. What type of cushioning should I use between plate and inside of door or am I over thinking this.

Very close...but do not tack wire to it...and use any cushioning. I have done this numerous times and can fill you in...unless you care to figure out the puzzle yourself. NO CUTTING to the door is required.
