I can get PPG but I have to drive to Arizona. 4 Hours each way, but I will if it is the right thing to do.

Import the stuff. I bought DCC prior to the "ban".

Can you get NEXA 2K??? Usually sold where PPG products are sold...they often times do not like to really push it...but look into it.

I have shot the Diamont...and it is OK. Covers well. I am so spoiled by the NEXA 2K...that I do not know what I would do if I had to stop...but I am also looking into converting my booth for NEXA AQUABSE and going waterborne.

What color are you planning on spraying??? The reason being...depending on the toners used to make the color..I KNOW for a fact that the NEXA often times covers super fast due to the toners are so strong....thus you do not need to buy a gallon to shoot an entire Corvette.

The NEXA basecoat can have a hardener added to it but generally I do not. 'NEXA 2K'...is just a name of teh system...much like their 'AQUABASE'

BE CAREFUL on this 'metallic blue'. The reason I 'say' this is that IF you find NEXA...or can provide me with the paint code and year that this color is on. I can look at eh color and the toners and let you knwo pretty quickly if this color is going to cover quickly or if the color you like is one of 'those' colors that has so much pearl in it to make it looks metallic that the color is really weak in coverage due to being so translucent.

NOW...you can buy and do as you wish...but if you want FREE advice I am willing to help you....because ...some paint manufacturers color for the color you want may REALLY BE WEAK and thus....take LOT more paint.

I called and got the formula...and the paint formula does have some high solid toners and it should cover rather quickly...but even with that...I ALWAYS use one of my 'spray-out cards' and check and see how many coats it takes to cover the black and white checkers on my spray-out card. And when spraying out a spray-out card...treat it JUST LIKE you were painting the car...and not apply five coats at once...because that is not how you are going to paint the car. SO...one coat...allow to flash off...then another and so on until you can not see the checkers.
