Just got my car back from the body shop after having my wide body fenders painted and noticed some paint overspray on my powder coated wheel. How can I safely remove without damaging the finish?
Take it back to them and let them know they they need to clean it off. I own a paint shop and I know that I would do it IF I got overspray on your wheels.
AS for what it would take to get it off..I would start with the mildest polish I have and go from there until I found the one that removed it.
It is hard to exactly tell you or advise you on what to use due to I have no way in knowing what they shot and IF the reducers/thinners in it actually have enough ability to actually eat into the powercoating when the overspray laid on the wheel.
