Default Second time at the track

Damn that Corvette Challenge, I am now hooked. Based on my first round elimination, I decided I needed a ton of practice. Went to Etown Friday night and got in 10 runs.

Of 10 60' 2 were 2.170 and 2.19, 7 were between 2.228 and 2.287 and 1 was a 2.669 (too much throttle ). Best of the night was a sweet 12.899 (previous best was 13.454) at 111.67. Had 2 13.08X's as well to round out a good session. Still need work on the launch and the 60 time. looking to get to 2.0 with an MN6. Mods are in signature and I am shooting for a 12.5 on EMT street tires. This time I guess I will try and let some air out.

Next test is the Corvette Challenge on 4/23. Looking for my first elimination round win.

Woa, woa, woawoawoawoa.......your going a little too fast for me Mowton......back up a little bit.

12.899 ???? In a car with TB velocity stack, Dynatech Header/Cats/X-pipe, Magnaflow catback, Elite Engineering "backbone" and Dyno tune????? And on runflats???

Say.....you wouldn't happen to have a Vararam on your car now would you????

Nice times

EB,

I'd be more than happy if I could get to the 1.8's for the 60. Nice job.

Default Need to set goals best 60, ET and MPH

When I posted this thread, I guess I was looking for some opinions on what my car should do in the 1/4. I know its a loaded question, but I have decided that there would be no more perfromance mods until I got the most out of these. That way I woiuld "earn" the next ones and not rely on them to provide false improvements.

Based on what I know (which really is limited) I have now set some new goals, all with EMT's

60' = 2.0
1/4 ET = 12.4
MPH = 115

Am I too high or too low?

Practice practice!! I'd say 60' is about right, shoot for a 1.9, quarter is low, maybe a 12.5x but probably around 12.6, trap to high at 115 - say about 113.x.

But I am really just guessing, I have just recently used an accelerometer and have about 8 "runs" under my belt. Really disappointed with my times though, I thought I would be low 12s maybe even high 11s but my first run was an embarrasing 13.25 at 110.2. My latest is 12.7 @ 113.4 and each run is getting a little better.
