Lee, I have the Comp Cam XR269HR, 216-220 cam you mentioned that you had in a previous engine, in an earlier post. I really like it. My numbers are 376 rwhp and 375 rwtorque, SAE corrected and smoothed. I really love how the car performs. Did you have a higher stall converter, and deeper gears, when you were running the 216-220 Comp Cam?

The 3.42s, and Protorque 2400-2600, in a 2001 C5 with similar power, seemed perfect to me. Under normal driving, the combination felt very tight, like stock, until it was jumped on, then...BAM! His cam was larger than mine, but peak power was very similar. I probably have a stronger low end than that car did. Can't wait!

Your only about an hour away, If I REALLY stepped on it! When I'm off on vacation again, in September, I'll PM ya! By then you may have your new set-up in.

Ed, my numbers were 374/375 through stock exhaust and TC/ 3.15 gears. I was running 12.1 CR, idle was 750rpms. The car ran great but would creep at the light with the stock TC. Great street car from light to light, alot of torque. One of those cams that they call baby cam. On the dyno my car was still pulling at 6500 rpms.

That cam really fills it in "under the curve". I really like it. And you're right, at 6500 rpm it's still reaching....great street cam!

Doug, let me know. I'll see if there's something I can do with my schedule. However, I will not be having the converter and gears installed until early winter, following which I was planning on storing the car until next spring. That way I don't lose driving time. Take care and stay in touch. I'd like to get together, too!
