I got my first 11sec run today.Just had H/C installed last month.First time out two weeks ago I ran the same et as before the install 12.13, but I picked up 6mph (113 vs 119).I have bald Nitto DRs(2.5 years old and15K miles) and the new setup just overpowers them. Yesterday I added 160 lbs of weight to the trunk and went back to the track. I ran a best of 11.96 @ 118.61. Still could not go WOT until well past the 60 ft mark.
I am waiting for the new MT street radials (305/35/18) to be released(mid June) and hoping for mid 11s with them.

Hey yankee I met you at Ubly Dragway I believe. I had the Electron Z06 and talked to you just before you left. Congrats on the time!!!! I knew that car had 11's in it from the trap speeds you were running. Where did you make that run at? Again grats on the time hope you meet you again sometime.

Yes I remember you and your beautiful EB Z06. I went back to Ubly last Saturday. Hope to see you there soon. I'm waiting on some MT Street Radials (305/35/18). MT told me they will be out in mid June.
Make sure if you go back with the new tires you let me know what the car ends up running. I'm thinking you can hit mid 11's also. Nice talking to you again. good luck.
Went back to the track today.I couldn't wait for the 305 ET STREET RADIAL so I bought some 275/40/17s
WOW! They hook much better.I don't think they are preping the track this year because everyone is complaining about lack of traction.
First Run : 11.83 /118.96 1.75 60 ft.
Next two runs went up in smoke as I got use the new tires.
The next four runs:
11.75/118.93 1.66
11.74/119.03 1.68
11.72/119.15 1.68
11.76/119.08 1.74
My tuner was at the track and we tweeked the shift points/ S/A between runs. (THANKS PHIL )On the last run I went WOT immediately and the tires broke loose a little. On the other three runs I drove off the line with a soft pedal and this seemed to work best. The tires are a lot better than the Nittos. I am sure I can squeek out another tenth with practice.

Nice runs. I knew that car of yours had some 11s in it. Who is your tuner Road Rebel (Phil) with the Z06 twin turbo? I'm looking to get out to ubly myself in a few weeks let me know next time you go out. I ended up installing the same converter that you have under your recommendation. Can't wait to try it out. Only problem I still have the run-craps on my car.

Yes Road Rebel is my tuner, he also installed my H/C. He does great work I recommend him highly. My car idles at 600rpm just like stock.I also got 29mpg going to and from Ubly.
You are going to love your TC. However you are going to have a hard time with traction especially at Ubly this year. You realy need some DRs to get the full beifit of the TC. I was getting 1.67 60 ft times with it before I installed the H/C. My Nittos 305/35/18 DRs were good enough with the stock engine and I got 15K+ miles on them.
What rims did you use for the 17's? I would guess a stock front rim, but just checking. Congrats on the killer times

Great set of times. That's about as consistant as you can be. It's amazing how close your times are.
Great times! I'm right here in Rochester Hills and would love to check out your car. I am debating whether to build a car like yours or just go Paxton ECS. Money is an issue and one advantage of going your route is that it can be done in stages. Right now I am thinking I would like to end up in the mid elevens, right around where your car is. I also would like to keep manners / noise / fuel economy as close to stock as possible. Thanks.

My car idles/runs like stock and gets 28/29 mpg on the highway. Let me know when you would like to take a ride in it.
Right now!!!!! Just kidding. I'll be around tomorrow night, (thursday) if it works for you. If not, I will be gone this weekend but sometime in the next couple of weeks or so. Thanks.
I absolutely love it. The cam you are running is about the same as mine (slightly more lift and intake duration). Great running car on the street and turns in great track times, nice combination
