Cam is here, slightly less lift then prescribed but nothing i can do about that.
Just picked up the LS2 oil pan, pick up tube, windage tray, dipstick tube/stick
Headgaskets are here
Adjustable Cloyes timing chain here

HEAD BOLTS ARE MIA!!!!!!!
Gotta measure for pushrods and roller rocker shims.
And valve covers and coil brackets

Working on the motor tonight.
I gave in and i'm letting "cyclerage23" do the swap for me. I'll be running the motor down to him monday or tuesday.

Update:

Long block is together!!!!!! Delivering to cyclerage tomorrow evening after work. The final pieces shall be the pushrods, shims for the roller rockers and header bolts hopefully. I purchased a set of moroso alum valve covers but they had vacuum pump provisions that wont work with a corvettes front accessories on the passenger side. Gotta figure that out quickly aswell. Can't find my old tune to email to get some slight revisions to make the car drive home safely from New Jersey hopefully next week.
Cyclerage has the rebuilt 3rib rear with DTE hardened shafts on both sides, c6 z06 pinion support and center clutch pack assembly aswell. We'll have to measure for the clutch to see if it needs the shim behind the slave. My motor is out of my car and I have the intake off the car. Gotta swap my sensors, coolant cross over pipes, front accessories and put back in the car. I'm absolutely tuckered out with this thing honestly. I"m way way WAY over budget of what I "THOUGHT" this could be done with. I followed the think what it'll cost you to get it up and running then DOUBLE THAT!!! So think $5k and then double it
Hopefully this thing can start up, make oil pressure and not act up in anyway so i can still get it dyno tuned by the end of next week and then just break in the clutch and go from there.

I am glad to hear that the engine project is coming together nicely.Your right about trying to estimate a budget for any modding project, just double that original estimate and then hope that your somewhere close to the true final figure.

Well it looks like you'll be the first one of the group that will be back on the road...next week right?Hopefully, that bad boy will pull the dyno numbers that your looking for and also bust some really good track times too.

I hope it hits the #'s aswell shooting for alot with what i have. My perfect #'s would be 550rwhp/500rwtq. And uhhhhh we dont like to say the BUST and TRACK in the same sentence. We use the term RUN at the TRACK the times you want.

The dyno is always the humble maker, at least for me. I've found it safe to subtract around 5% of what I was hoping to make. I don't even make predictions anymore bc I don't want to be humbled. Just ask Kurt, he bugged me for a week about what I think it will make and I never had an answer. In all honesty I ended up with close to the power I was hoping for but if I would have said 460 I would have made 445 lol.

Understandable Blu and regretfully your 5% reduction is about right on almost all of my cars over the years looking back LOL! So basically after all this if my car makes a honest 522rwhp/475rwtq I will gladly put the car up for sale and just buy a damn C6Z06 and get it over with!!!!

Oh forgot to mention I think that the EDELBROCK 2pc cover is a piece of **** and wouldnt fit. So i have the factory 10hr cam swap cover in still!!!!!!!!! After all that, getting the cover, getting the wrong top part to the edelbrock cover I end up with bupkiss!!!

Run it at the track before giving up on it. How many people are running 10.80's with 444rwhp? Hell how many are running that with 500rwhp? Who cares if it only makes 520 when it runs bottom 10's on an average day?
Leave the high dyno numbers to the SC'd guys that make 560rwhp and run low 11's lol.

A NA car with comparable dyno numbers to a SC car will run better numbers at the track.

I agree.

Fart, I still need to know what pushrods you want. Do you know what you need yet?

What timing chain & oil pump you running? Didn't get a good feeling about the Edelbrock, actually had one & sold it!

At the end of the day I played it safe and went with a great single row timing chain and the Melling 10296 pump. The QTP was the only one I was sure would fit so that is what I went with. Still waiting to do my install after I get back from AZ in 2 weeks. Anxious to get started and I think I have all my parts/tools lined up!!!

I went with a good single row Cloyes Adj timing set, Oil pump was a SLP pump which I thought that would be similar in sizing to factory but the damn edelbrock FUBARD me!

Good luck on your build and keep us posted

Update:
The old rear basically the pinion pushed back breaking the ring/pinion and then shearing off the passenger output shaft. So thats the story on the old rear.

New stuff is going in with some set backs. Apparently at some point the bell housing is cracked at one of the mounting holes where the torque tube mates to it. Car just makes to much power! Car needed a new bellhousing anyway....

Goodluck and have patience.
Jason is a great guy and knows his sh*t! He will treat your car like his own.
He will take care of you Bruce and has a complete opposite demeanor than you. You guys should make a great team.

Update:
Car is home in the garage, putting the passenger seat back in finally, changing the oil putting a little bit thicker regular oil in 10w30 and filter change. Check tire pressures, got some decent gas at Exxon i believe and then i'm going up to have it tuned. Right now the alignment is off, the clutch grabs like a sledgehammer and with the tune not right its a pain in the dick to drive LOL! The clutch pedal is alot stiffer aswell and the clutch grabs right at the top almost so completely different then the textralia. The car was loud before but now its louder and much deeper. Got a few exhaust rattles to hopefully take care cause the damn SLP loudmouth is a PIA sometimes to get right and can take hours sometimes. Gotta check the exhaust bolts per cyclerage said they can come undone on new exhaust which is normal with heating/cooling it a few times.

Thanks Cyclerage for everything I know its been a interesting one for you.

So hopefully today I can get some 150mile motor break in numbers. We'll see if we come up short, over, right on or just stupid low
I want 550rwhp/500rwtq

Cyclerage says 520rwhp 480rwtq

Lets see you guys guesses for when i get home tonight. Its windy as a **** here!!!!! Like 40+wind gusts so that'll be fun!
