Default Fartpipe Performance Update :)

Well I picked up the motor on thursday. Wasn't quite what I pictured when I walked in. I look at the motor and said......... uhhhh its not together. LOL! Builder goes no, i did the machine work, got the new pistons, rings, made sure the clearances are all good and there she is. I was like FOCKME. So now the short block rotating assembly needs put together. I'm dropping the heads off monday to be milled down .24 to use a headgasket of .40 thickness with flat top pistons with -2cc valve reliefs to achieve my compression ratio of 11.8:1. I have most of my gaskets, roller rockers, edelbrock 2pc timing cover, ARH 1 7/8 headers with off road xpipe on order should be here within a week, should be getting the rear to my house by next weekend 4.10 rear DTE shafts both sides, and gear, C6Z06 pinions support, motive gears, C6Z06 clutch packs, have my Spec Twin PT clutch, fluids will be purchased this week. I have a LS2/C6 power steering pulley which looks like it might be lighter and cooler looking but supposedly makes something easier later on if you have to do something that i forget LOL! Trying to find a LS2/C6 oil pan which is less prone to cavitating, easier to run twin turbo setup i hear and easier to pull motor from the top if all else fails

Dayum bro, sounds sweet! Can't wait to see some pics and #'s

On the other hand, I keep getting this mental image of a certain young lady with crossed arms and a pizzed off look lurking nearby.

Well I got a little more accomplished with the car this weekend. I removed the exhaust system, took the starter off, alternator off, intake off during the removal of the headers. The header removal KICKED MY AZZZZ!!! I had to have a fellow member come over since I was so frustrated and could no longer see the light at the end of the very long agonizing tunnel. We had to lower the cradel, and jack the motor up to get them out of the bottom. Steve D must've put those bastards in with the heads off cause I almost commited suicide over these things.
Anyways the exhaust is sold already and the guys picking it up on tuesday. Since I'll be putting in the 1 7/8 ARH headers and off road xpipe.
I dissambled the heads to take in today to drop off to have them milled .026 thousanths. I'll spend the time giving Pat. G. all my specs to have a cam spec'd out.

It sounds like some serious thrashing has been put forth. When do you think this project will be completed?

Date to take it into a friends shop with a lift to lift the body off is March 21st that saturday my goal is have the entire driveline out and start changing the rear, clutch over and start putting the motor together and putting together and start cleaning things up just to look nice.

Cam specs sent to Pat. G. just now. Heads are dropped off to be milled.
Wonder how long Pat. G takes to spec out the cam and how long it takes to get the cam?

They are secret. All you gotta know is its the Fartpipe stage 5 stroker cam.

Is this car not done yet? Whats taking so long!

You should have another party at your house and just have everybody work on the car until it is done.

DAMNIT!!!! Blu is even closer!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!! It just needs a very slight tweak and she would be dead nuts on. He has 2 of the #'s right and going in the right direction with the last one. Plus he's only .002 on some other #'s. Interesting where you pulled that from Mr.Blu!
