Default PassTime with Pete

So with a bit of good fortune, my car will be back together on Friday.

I'll be heading to Atco Friday night to try it out.

Previous times in the summer heat (+2000ft DA) have been

1.72 60'
about 12.2 at 114mph.

This was done with just a cold air intake, Z06 Ti cat-back, and Hoosier 275/40/17 drag radials.

My new set-up is.

1 3/4 Kooks with off-road X-pipe.
Removed the AIR system.
Powerbond UD pulley (25% - acc)
4.10 Differential w/ hardened uotput shaft and ECS brace
Street Tuned by ECS

What do you guys think I'll run?

I'll say 11.69 @ 117 (And that's not just because your helping me with my line locks). But this assumes you're not bouncing off the rev limiter in 4th at the stripe with those short gears.

It depends on how many passes you get. If you get only one or two runs and it's as hot out as it has been the last few days then you might not even see the 11s yet. If you get three or more passes you should run in the 11.7-11.9 range at over 117mph on at least one pass.
Your stock clutch will now become the real hindrance when seeking the sixty foots and shifting speed that you'll need to reach the car's full potential (which is 11.5s/11.6s at roughly 119mph by late fall/winter).

Yeh, I'm going to have the rev limiter raised to 6500 - even though the LS1 doesnt make any power up there.

What size tires did you have with that?

Oh, and 12.3??? Thanks for the vote of confidence

You hit the nail on the head right there. I hope I get enough runs in to be able to get a couple good runs in.
The next thing on my list is a clutch.
I'm kinda surprised it has held up this long (75+ passes). Especially after the glazing I did to it back in November on my third pass ever with the car.

I miss those Hoosiers...those things are light and sticky. The ET Streets I swapped them out for won't hook up for me at all.

So do we get one question each then? Mine is "do you powershift"?

I think Pete powershifts driving to the Wawa. He'll even throw in a 3-2 powershift once in awhile

I think you will go 12.00@116 with a 1.6x 60ft and the clutch taking a dump. Hopefully you will prove me wrong though. Kurt, how were you going 128 in 4th at 6200 with 3.90's? Im at 120 at the end of 4th.
