Default A push for the 8's

Ok fellas, after crunching the numbers, I've decided to give it a shot; just this year and then I'm done.

My goals will be:

-run an 8.9x
-trap 150mph
-cut a 1.2x 60'

all with under 400ci's (n/a) and a 6 speed on a small drag radial... and drive home.

I basically need to find about .2-.25 from my current setup.

According to my math it is possible but everything must come together. I have several things I'm working on between now and September when I'll start making "all out" passes.
My general setup will not change.
If $ becomes an issue I will abort the mission and have fun running a local 10.50 index.
That's my story.

We usually come up with about 10 radical ideas.
About 2 of those I junk myself out of embarrasment.
The other 8 I run by the fellas Tommy, Gary,Mark, Troy and others and that usually brings it down to about 5 which we try and implement. We typically go crazy try to get some of these things to work and others seem to just fall into place.

We will run an aftermarket along with the factory pcm.
We will be porting/tweaking the manifold.
We will be working on the exhaust.
Of course we'll be tweaking the tune.
We're looking at tires/rpm, etc.
If only I could get a 4.56 rear, but this doesn't look good.
I'm hoping to learn a bunch of things in the process.

If something goes bad, I'm done, I have one shot at this.

Good luck Rob. I hope you meet your goals. I switched over to the dark side. M6 got pushed to the side for now. Are you running the Harrop fuel rail that came with the intake? Mine is hitting the cowl. I am having to make a new low profile fuel rail so I don't have to cut anything. How did you do yours? Looking for options if you have any advice.

No more chasing et, more street driving, and some 10 second indexes.

I'm so new to drag racing and muscle cars in general i don't even comprehend the mustang/chevy thing.

Mine had to be slightly adjusted. Yes stock rails. I will be looking into custom rails as well for many reasons.
