Hypothetically speaking...

would these changes be enough to compete with fartpipe and run a 10.5? +mz6 tranny(should easily get me a 1.4x 60') +putting in a real cam (not at liberty to divulge specs, but it has almost 20 degrees more overlap and ~.040" more lift) +fast 102 and 100mm MAF(from stock ls6, ported TB and 75mm MAF)=figure I'll gain atleast 50rwhp, will this be enough?

In my opinion, you will need more that 50 hp to knock off 5 tenths. Ten horsepower per tenth is the rule of thumb when you are in the high 12-13's, but the faster you go the harder it is to get there. You are going to need 5-8 additional mph to match the pipester. I think you will need 70 rwhp and a solid 1.4 sixty foot.

How ever...I'm pulling for you Kick his C-6 ***

FP...keep on bolting

You could have something there. The most powerful car doesn't always win a drag race. Cutting a good light, traction and the drivers ability to bang those gears plays an important part in winning.

OP,it sounds like your gearing up to make some serious HP/TQ with your new mods. However, running a 346 against a 427 that makes about as much power stock as a modded LS1/LS6 does puts you at a large disadvantage from the get go. A 50 HP increase over your present numbers is a nice gain in power, but in my humble opinion it will take a minimum of 100 HP to make you competitive against the larger modded cubic inch engine. Hopefully you can go out there and beat FP's butt and prove me wrong...I've been wrong before.

Dave, his sig is already showing 425 rwhp, which is about 60+ over a stock ls6.

That's only about 10RWHP shy of a stock LS7.

Pitt,I realize that. FP should be be making north of 515 hp once all of his mods are completed and factoring in the extra grunt that 427 will be making on the big end, well he's going to need some serious power in my opinion. Time will tell...we'll all know the results late on November 5th.

And he said modified LS1/LS6 which his is. Stock LS7 dynos approx 440rwhpish. Some dyno like a POS like mine at 475rwhp with bolt ons. Most dyno over 500rwhp with my mods However I hate both of you and wish 11.000s are in your future!

Say there douche bag,oh I mean Sir Fartpipe of the C6 girlie clan!! Have you completed all of the mods that you intend to do prior to 11/5 MIR showdown? By the way I'm still counting on my champion MR Pitt to blow your azz all the way back to Jersey on that coming cold November day...C5 383's rule!! Those few high 10's runs sure have made you cocky...Pitts going to have to take you down a peg or two.

Pitt better start shopping for a couple more bolt ons.... FP is bolting on with "cost is no deturrent force" and Pitt is just watching his setup get old...lol. Brucie is OUT-OF-CONTROL !! He should be tied up and given 50 lashes. Just think: we would enjoy watching the whipping and he would enjoy the sadistic treatment

LOL

Just ordered a Tick master cylinder. I would hate to miss 4th gear at MIR. Someone has to go fast with a 427 - I just wish MIR had some corners.
