Also, did you see how much the tire grew? If you stare at the left edge of the tire/rim, as you go down the track, the rim edge becomes more and more apparent!
As I my text said to you, that was a good run!
Thanks to you and Rob for organizing this, and yes it WAS busy!

Damn good observation!!! I didnt even notice that!
I had good time despite not having the funds to do the rental.
It was good meeting everyone aswell.

Gary2004Z06 my hat is off to you that is some AMAZING driving and really making things work! You sir are closer to a machine every time out.

RobZ how much for some of that pixie dust??? Is it tooth fairy pixie dust?

Tirecraft glad you werent there!

StoneBoner.... better luck next time I was very dissappointed in your performance and will accept this again..... J/K great job. Tirecraft would be proud. you adjusted the clutch AND strapped it down.

Simpleman sorry about the issue but i'm sure it will get worked out somehow and you will be back out there enjoying the car.

digivix- fast car and congrats on the new PB. I bet it goes faster if you take the grocery cart wing off

Just 2 vids as people are looking for vids from the rental. I got a camera so experimented a little. I was on street tires as the air was not going to allow me to better my p.b. of 10.75.
My best this day was 11.36@126. Previous best was 11.24@122 in 2006, pretty much the last time I concentrated on street tire passes.

The 1st one Ralph did for me. The 2nd one was an in car video. I was trying out the mount. I was originally going to use it for road racing, but figured why not try it with drag racing??

Do you think I concentrate on the tach a little bit?? ; )
Watch my eyes in the rear view mirror...until the camera moves a bit that is...

I noticed that when I was in the car. The 1.35 60' was a much better launch; however, I had a very, very small amount of creep. We''l work on that.
Great observation about the slicks growing.
Thanks for the kudos.
Good to have you as always. We'll let you know about the next one.

Imagine what you'll run in the air at the fall rentals (Nov-Dec) we usually do!

Hooking/finding enough traction to grab a mid-low 1.3x sixty foot on one of those 40-45 degree days is no picnic but he only needs one to make it happen.
Based on the numbers Gary put down on Friday I once again have little doubt that single digits are coming. In my opinion, if it's a solid 'barometer (not temperature) driven' -1200 DA day he'll probably only need that same 1.35 sixty foot for a 9.9x. If it's a little higher he might need to pull a 1.34/1.33 to do it and if it's lower (-1800?) and if he can still hook then he might be looking at a 9.8x.
The car probably has a 1.32/1.33 in it but again he won't even need to explore that far to get a 9 second pass.
Needless to say I am very impressed with both the driving skill AND the car.

Thanks gentlemen. Greatly appreciate the kind words.
I must say that the good doctor has this one dialed in. He thinks we may need a couple tweaks. Whatever he prescribes, I'll listen.

Thanks for all the compliments on the ribs guys, it was my pleasure!

I had a great time, and popped my cherry among the best!

I ended up doing several 12.9x @ 107.XX with my meager A4 Vert w/ stock 2:73's, a Vararam, Borla X-pipe into B&B Bullets, and a Jet Performance Stage II Module.

By next year I'd like to ditch the Module for an ECS tune, after getting 3:42's, Longtube headers, Z06 or Fast intake, and maybe a stall converter. It would be nice to get in the elevens next time.

Many thanks to all the people that walked me through the motions, and gave me advice. Thanks to Fartpipe for not breaking my nuts for having the slowest Vette there! At least I (barely) beat the 13.1x Ford Taurus SHO, and the 15.8x Semi Tractor!! Can you believe how fast that guy was shifting that rig?!?

I hope 'yall don't mind if I join you again.
