Default Bolt-on 400whp

Due to several threads inquiring about bolt on wheel hp I've decided to make a bolt on documentary. Over the next 2 weeks I will be installing a series of basic bolt-on parts most likely in the order of CAI, Headers, Fast 92/92 and dyno'ing each part on a dynojet after installation. I will be starting with a 363whp and 352tq baseline which i will post sometime tomorrow once i get this copy machine working again. Tomorrow i will also be bringing the car to be dyno'd once more after just installing a WCC Hurricane CAI to see what this particular quality intake produces and will be posting the results. Anyway for those looking to get a idea what you can expect from each individual mod stay tuned.

Awesome.
I never took the time to check each part and just did everything at once.

Well i figure it would be nice to divide the parts to get a idea of Hp per dollar for each mod and make comparisons to what vendors claim as hp gains.

Very cool, you could very well reach that 400rwhp mark if you do all/nearly all of the relevant bolt ons.
Are you doing an underdrive pulley and electric water pump as well?
And a catted X-pipe or non catted when you do the headers?

You won't get true HP of the CAI on the dyno.

You can get there with a tune, cold air intake, headers, and throttle body. I am anxious to see the progress. Good luck.

Im really interested in this. I have an 03 Z as well with comparable mileage. Just broke a vavle spring and ruined #5 piston. My motor is ona stand now and im trying to develope a "shopping list" of upgrades to purchase. I like the HP:$ comparison. Im tryin to bang the buck as far as possible.

Are you trying to reach 400rwhp on STD numbers? I only ask because most compare SAE numbers which are ~3% lower.

Good question.
He'll likely hit 400rwhp easily if he's only seeking STD numbers.

Cool, subscribing. Should be good info.

I'm a little annoyed that more magazines or TV shows with access to dynos don't do huge dyno comparos mod by mod more often... Too much worry about making their sponsors' products look bad probably...
