Default what should I expect?

Ok, couple of questions, three of them really. First, my car is a 99 auto, 3.15 car. Mods right now include custom tune (done from a local guy on hp tuners) XS power LT's, 160 thermo, xpipe, no cats, CAI dual cone, smooth air coupler, and of course the performance hood seal (k, last two I know amount to nothing, but though I would include them for some humour).

1. What is the best guess this car would run on summer only tires (zo6 size) as it is, and best guess on HP/Torque as it sits?

2. I think I might have purchased an LS6 intake and ported throttle body (if offer accepted), how much will this help now and in the future? and what do you think my 1/4, hp, tq would be with this added?

3. next planned power mod would be a cam swap. I want a cam that makes good power without too much lope at idle. Mostly a street car, so do not want to have to add high stall. What would be the best cam to go with, and supporting parts (springs, etc) that i will need? Want to keep power band in the 1500 -6200 rpm range again, as it is a street car. What numbers could I expect with this as well?

Mainly, my goal is to be able to keep these new mustangs behind me. that coyote engine with 412hp is a bit scary, lol.

1. As your car sits right now you should run mid to lo 13s with street tires. You have a little over 315-320 rwhp.

2. With an LS6 intake and ported T/B you should pickup a tenth or 2 in the 1/4 mile. Maybe 10 rwhp on an internally stock engine.

3. IMHO you are making a big mistake not installing a hi stall T/C. A stall is the best bang for the buck on an A4 excluding nitrous. Any cam you select will perform much better if you have a good hi stall T/C(Yank SS3200 or SS3600).
There are tons of mild cams in the 21x/22x or 22x/22x with a 600 or less lift on a 114 to 115 LSA. That will fill the bill.

Wont the high stall effect the daily driveability? That is my main concern with it. Car is mostly used for weekend getaways and general driving therapy. Not a drag car. My main concern is not getting blown away by a new stance on a highway situation, not that the car gets street raced. More just for peace of mind.

I drove my 402 stroker motor daily for 2 years. It has a 3400 stall and 410 gears. Cruise the x-way @75-80 with no problems at all. I did add a HD tranny cooler however.

You will love the Stall. From 50 mph, it feels like someone runs into the back of you when you get into it. They hit hard and fast with gears.

The Yank SS series converters have excellent street manners. They feel like stock until you go WOT then hold on LOL. The SS3200 would work nicely with your 3.15 gears. For even better performance get 3.42 or 3.73 gears along with an SS3600. Check the C5 parts for sale forum. You can sometimes find 3.42 pumpkins that came out of M6 cars for sale.

Well I have a simular setup. 2000 A4 with 3.15 gear. All is stock except the duel air filter, no headers and I still have the stock cats & exhaust. Best time last week was 13.2 @ 111 with a 1.88 60'. Plans are to have an ss3200 installed in a few weeks!!!

i see you're from kansas! welcome. kansas city perhaps? im from SE kansas but know a few guys up in kc metro area.

i agree with the stall. even if its not a huge one, they help alot. i had a comp xer273 that was a very good streetable cam. too streetable for me lol. its specs are 581/589, 224/230, 114lsa.

with this cam i ran 11.88@118 on two passes ever with it. if you buy new for $400, might as well spend the extra $50 for a custom grind cam for exactly what you want. but if you get used, look in the $200-300 range with similar specs.

the ls6 intake will work fine for you even with a mild cam

that should take care of them coyote's!!
