Hey gang,

First, credit here goes to Dale, my tuner friend. AKA "CTD" on the forums.

I have re-named him MAF MAN because we are still on a MAF only tune. He has been bound and determined to get the curve good through all 3 gears, especially to get more fuel in the engine in low gear. I've been timing guy, and of course get to sit behind the wheel.

Cooler tonight, but same as 2 weeks ago. Maybe better air? I dunno.

11.18, 11.15, 11.16, 11.100 (damn) and a 11.11 @ 122.83mph.
O the last 3 hits, the car spun so the 60ft slowed to 1.61-1.65. No track prep, and a buttload of FWD street cars. The 60ft on the 11.15 run was 1.58. IAT was 73 degrees.

Here is what's cool. HPT will show delivered engine torque. From 2 weeks ago, same air temp, just more fuel in the engine and less timing in low gear, the delivered torque has gone up 60ft lbs. Right at the stall speed. This is neat tech.

Alan, I believe you are correct. If I get a 60 degree evening, with some track prep, the car will run a ten.

Ron

Some stuff.

HPT log
Blue line upper chart is mph. The bumps are tire spin.
Green line is RPM
Orange line is commanded AFR which is now set to 12.49:1
White line is the wideband O2

Bottom chart. Red is timing. The flat portions are 22 degrees BTDC.
Purple line is delivered torque.
The big dips right at the hit of the throttle are what I want to mess with next.

Timeslip

Banana

Hope this is interesting, I don't mean to take up bandwidth.

Ron

I remember being stuck at 11.0's and "Paint it Black Vette" had broke the air for me to run my first 10 sec pass ...

You'll get there!!

Awesome job Ron!

That car is such a sleeper...

HPT has a lot of cool features.. I spent tons of time/money on my turbo bike's logging stuff and its still not near as advanced as HPT/factory sensors.

Keep fiddling and wait for 45* night...you may be at the end of your tire's useful range though...

When you putting it in tha jug? You know it will run 9.80s on a 150 shot spraying out of the hole...

I'm throwing it out there...

Thanks Dale,

Previous owner did that. But then it also had a wing and spears too.....

Alan, no bottle!

And I picked up some Z06 Speedline fronts for some bigger tires down the road. If they would just spray the track once during the eve, I wouldn't have issues. The tire spin was rather violent a couple of times. I'm glad I put the DTE shafts in the diff. Both sides.

That is all you need to hit the tens NA. But you would probably be mid to deep tens the way you keep at it
