True, I too have kept a close eye on those LS1 F-body bolt on ETs (especially as my own Camaro Z28 LS1 bolt on car was always just outside of the main 'top 50' list with it's 11.8s LOL). It took a while but the bolt on Corvettes (C5 and C6) finally caught up.

Congrats, I personally feel your accomplishment is greater than Dennis' even though not as fast because you did it with less cubes, cam and heads even if they're stock lol you're making prolly 40hp less in a car that's slightly less aerodynamic

Thank you
I'm just happy that I was able to get into the 10's lol

Yes true, but that's a tough call as it's not a true apples to apples comparison either...if Dennis's car had the same level of weight reduction (he still had air conditioning, carpeting, interior panels, cats etc.) I think his car could've possibly gone 10.4s, but that's strictly speculative of course.
3800 stall versus 4000+, 3.73s versus 3.90s as well etc.
Either way though, Ron's C5 still falls under the label/category of 'stock internals' and it did do something that no other C5 has done before nor maybe ever will.

Impressive all the way around.
It 's hard to eclipse those fbody et's with some of the advantages they have with regard to drag racing.
Among all NA bolt ons only Corvettes at least, but technically speaking that Lingenfelter ZR1 (and there might've been one other one?) is the quickest outright bolt ons only Corvette.

True, it's the relatively high stalls that they use as well as aerodynamics that play a roll in trap speed I'm sure and as Rob said they also have some advantages (ie: solid rear) over typical IRS Corvettes as well. Keep in mind that most (if not all) of those high 10/low 11 second bolt ons only LS1 F-bodies are quite gutted/reduced in weight and some even sport Turbo 350 transmission conversions with a trans brake. But yes, I too am still VERY impressed by ANY stock internals/naturally aspirated F-body or Corvette that can find it's way into the 10s as the still very few of us that have done it over the years have often struggled to accomplish.

I can be the king of bolt on C5's
Im gonna go search youtube for that lingenfelter ZR1
THAT you definitely are.
And I am the king of all bolt on yellow NA C6s with an A6 transmission under 427 cubic inches LOL.

Here it is.
I still consider Gary's foray into the 9.9s as a little more 'monumental' but this is still quite impressive as well. I thought someone else (LMR maybe?) had also gotten into the 9.6/9.7 range with a bolt ons only C6 ZR1, but maybe not.
