Iirc my old sleeper SBE C5FRC did a 2.8 0-60mph at 420rwhp and 4.10 gears on a 1.4 60’ at the dragstrip on an 8.5” wheel with ET Street, that of course included a shift to 2nd. Think my headers only C6GS that makes similar power is a 3.1 0-60 when it cut a 1.5 60’ on a 9.5” wheel with 275 drag radial as it has 3.42 gears and is around 200lbs heavier.
awesome! Great times , all this information really helps. Thank you
that sir is wild! Thank you! I’m probably missing something but I’d like to know more about this C5 Vette, maybe some videos…
Here’s a video of my belated buddy’s NA C6Z06 auto conversion that ran a similar 0-60 and an old video my C5FRC running probably a 3 flat 0-60… https://youtu.be/kLa7QkCfrfo

My 2001 has a magnuson supercharger and conservative tune. Magnaflow exhaust. Sounds like stock.
on way to work i attempted a 0-60
from stop i released brakes, rolled forward and floored it. Got 3.9
im sure it will do better with proper launch. So its definitely doable. Not saying my c5 is fast but it is fast enough. I dont drive it like that. Was popping the cherry on it lol. The weather was cooler so i thought why not.
I like to take the "Stock Eliminator" route (grew up with these guys) and always think "quick" and efficient vs. powerful or "fast". Our C5, NA, will 60' 1.50 anywhere with the stock intake, heads, transmission, etc. Big cam, LTs, Yank SS4000, 3.90, 295 drag radial and "only" 429 rwhp. It also makes 565 on a 150 shot but I need to tighten the converter to get that power to the ground at the track.
That rendering is so mean Pete it makes me want to cry! I'm just getting back into the C5 stuff as we've been out of it for about 7 years. Do you have a link where I can see pictures of the build; especially with it painted silver and done? What a wicked ride! Well done sir!
