this guy was a feral cat who somehow got shot by buckshot and lost a leg. He's now my personal footrest under my desk. Most gentle cat that the vet says she's ever encountered. This photo was taken just a couple hours before we took him to the vet and learned that the injury which we thought might have been from a trap was actually buckshot which shattered his right front leg bones. . . .

the little guy was too healthy and kind to not try and take care of and give some food. Here's the bugger today; and, missing his front right leg doesn't slow him down much or keep him from jumping 4' up and down in the laundry room where he sleeps. He guards the back door every night . . .
