If you had the the cowl hood and your can had .624 lift you would have 540/500 but without the hood on an the .623 lift its going to be hard.

please tell me .001 of lift was not what he meant by the cam not being quite as big as he expected.

Results are in:
Dynojet
537rwhp/482rwtq on pump gas SAE #'s 0 smoothing
552rwhp/498rwtq STD #'s 0 smoothing

The motor had 200miles on it. So my goals will be slightly off from where i wanted but will come up with break in/time. I'm however very displeased with my cam. I specified a 6700rpm shift point in my specs which would tend to be around a 6400-6500rpm peak and 7000rpm limiter. My cam peaked around 6050-6100rpm. Definitely not good. We made sure the cam was dead nuts on 108 ICL per the cam card and how it was spec'd out, so theres no mix up there. There were no valvetrain issues that i noticed at this time. Plus I have a low rpm surge that was extremely pesky for the tuner which i've had success with previously. Oh and it POPS EXTREMELY loud through the exhaust on decel! VERY LOUD POPS! You would think unburtn fuel but it shows as lean. Add fuel and it does reduce, tried turning off fuel on decel but had a lil trouble doing so and couldnt figure that out. The car is now tuned in open loop to help reduce the surge. The driveability minus the surge is good, the cam comes on hard and spins the tires extremely easy. Oh almost forgot we had to sit 2 of us in the back of the car to get it not to spin on the dyno!

So in conclusion i'm still not happy!!!!! Not enough power, driveability isnt quite what i expect, loud popping on decel, way to low of a peak HP rpm. I'm pissed that I couldnt use the 2 piece timing cover cause its to hard, and expensive to take this cam out!

Blu I now have the lovely dip in my curve too at lower rpms.

Holy crap FP. Seems you got close to the HP numbers you were looking for, but certainly not the drivability you wanted.

Best of success to you in getting this sorted out.

Seems your cam is way off what you wanted... is there any recourse on the person that speced it out for you?

install it at 110 ICL thatll raise your peak rpm
numbers are pretty good...lil lower tq than i was expecting
i think the dip is head/cam/intake related...im sure I'll still have dips in mine with the new cam
Try removing your maf and leave it Speed Density with a solid tube in place of the maf...i plan on doing it...it was worth a solid 6-7 on blus car...i would suspect 10rwhp on your setup

FOR SALE LADIES!!!!!!!

The peak bothers me the most! The drivability next and then the lower #'s. The numbers are the least of my worries right now IMO. At the track i'm going to be way over my peak HP when going through 4th gear. Theres no way in hell the car is going to be able to perform as desired with the PEAK HP at that RPM PERIOD! Basically its all Kurtomac and Blu's FAULT!

Kurtomac asked what shims and pushrod length.
We inspected valve tip wipe forever and came up with approx .087 shim and had a nice thin pattern in the center. The closest shim i could get was .093 and the wipe pattern is good. Push rod length was 7.500. Thats with approx .030 preload.

I went to the track with a friend in his Nissan 240 with a SR20 swap and a friend with a 640rwhp 6spd supra to video/take pics and make fun of them at the track reopening of 75/80. Well it sucked.... i text cyclerage and he thought for what i was asking thought i was running my car. I'll sum that up with this comment: HELL NO!!!!!!!! I can barely pull out let alone launch this damn thing! I'll probably break the clutch in to 700+miles before I think about tracking it honestly. I'm really nervous about hurting anything at this point in the game.
