I can't tell from your pictures what the top surface looks like. Is it carpeted so Velcro will still stick to it? Does the color match the standard stock Corvette interior black?

If not, do any of our home hobbyist types know how hard it is to lift the carpet, put this Blockit under it, and reinstall the factory carpet back on top so it stays securely in place without shifting?

Good questions. The new top surface is textured and is ebony/black. It does look good & goes well with the interior.
Making the top layer "carpet" (which we thought about doing in the beginning..) costs a ton of money and would turn most away.
When we use to demonstrate it (in a vehicle), the first thing we heard was "wow it looks nice"....
As for placing it under the carpet... Some did it with the C6. Some areas of the carpet would simply come right up. However I have not tried it yet on the C7.

Is Blockit material available in sheet form or in kits for other brands of cars? A link would be appreciated.

It looks like the name is used on a variety of products that have nothing to do with sound absorption or cars, so my searches haven't turned up anything helpful.

 

Received my order yesterday and immediately installed. Took only a few minutes to install and looks good. Wife and I took it out on one of the notorious noisy roads here in Texas and here is our opinion. I was hoping for more noise reduction. It helps but certainly is not a cure all. Being over 6ft 2in I regret losing leg space as a result of the two pieces that go behind the seat backs. To me the quiet roads are even quieter but not much help on the rough noisy ones.

Having had Blockit in my Z06 - I thought it did a great job reducing noise so I added it to the C7 - Z51.

It arrived packaged well. Easy install with a precise fit. I was able to use the rings and shade. I found it able to make a nice noise reduction on all surfaces around Little Rock including interstate and different road surfaces including concrete and asphalt.

I'm very happy with the product!
