I'm looking for a Corvette Club in Gloucester VA, anyone point me in the right direction? I close on my place end of July.
Also, want to check to see if any fellow C3 owners want to get together and share tech experience, turn wrenches and maybe cruise once in a while.

Welcome to Tidewater! I'm glad to see another C3 coming into the area! I think the closest club to you will be the Beachcombers Corvette Club. Quite a few of the "Ratpack" our unofficial forum club belongs to the BCC and I'm sure they will chime in.

Gloucester is a nice place. I grew up and went to school there and still visit my parents down there once a month or so. I can't think of ANY car clubs in Gloucester, but like Ron 78 said, the 'RatPack' is there. Jack (jackdaroofer) is a great guy and i'm sure he'll enjoy seeing another local vette in the area. I'm sure he'll chime in with more info.
As for local weekend hangouts:
I spent last weekend in Gloucester with my father and we met a group of 1940-60s hotrods at Sonic (across from the old Wal-Mart) around 9:30pm. When we were leaving a couple 60'ish Mustangs and Camaros were coming in.
My father said there were a handful of cars at the old Wal-Mart (across from Sonics) this past Friday night. He didn't have time to stop but he said there were some nice looking cars out.
WARNING: Friday night at Gloucester Point (Peebles parking lot, behind Taco Bell) is RICE FEST. As soon as we saw them, we left.
There is a few clubs in the area. The closest NCCC club is the Hampton Roads Club. Follow this link. http://www.ernccc.org/VAclubs.htm
I belonged to the Hampton Roads crew for a year or two and they do a lot of racing. I was also in the Beachcombers and they do a little of everything.... but more showers and cruisers.
Then about 2 or 3 years ago, a new NCCC club was formed. Rat Pack Motorsports. This is a group of racers who wanted to compete in racing. We have members spread out through VA, NC and I think NY. We really don't have any meetings, we just race and race and race, mostly in the Carolina region because that is where the best racing in NCCC is here on the East coast.
See ya,
Ed

Only if you happened to be in Virginia Beach. I haven't had it across the water in quite awhile.
Looking forward to seeing you at some of the Ratpack gatherings. Just keep looking in this section and Jack or Steve usually has something going on for us.
Cheers and welcome to Gloucester!
I live in Gloucester, down near the point off Tidemill Drive
Where are you going to be?
As Ron said, the most organized club is the Beachcombers in Va Beach
We run around a lot on the Penninsula and southside
send me an e mail
Looking forward to meeting you
Jack
Hey Ron you might not have the "Most Fuel Consumed" trophy in the bag anymore with some more 3's in the area
Langley may need to put a rush on some new tankers for our events!
Just funning, everybody picks on Ron it's a Ratpack tradition!!
Welcome to the area, looking forward to meeting you.
Thanks for the kind words of encouragment Billy! At least now when we make a cruise I won't be the only one filling up with gas and some "unknown" person catching it on film.

People keep asking me...how many MPG do you get? My answer:
To bad your age removes your memory Ron.............. Remember my 68' Camaro, bout the same MPG as your C3
Speaking of MPG..............if I was concerned I sure wouldn't have 5 non stock vehicles that ALL see rain

You have a 68 camaro? No way. When are you going to bring it out? Seriously it would be nice if you brought it out to play one of these days.
