Looks that way. Sometimes people get stuck in a gear and just don't know how to get out of it. They like to but that is ok because as long as he is doing that he is happy and we want everyone to be happy right?

Hey Ron

I may be on you side one day here soon!

Kind of thinking about a C3 roadster..I have sort of started looking!

That's a bad sign! Soon as you start having some doubts about what you are driving, you are probably ready to move on.

Love my 88, but it's about all"fixed up" so I am looking or thinking about a new project car

Say Hi to Donna

So are you going to go for a '69 BB vert? If you're going for the C3 roadster you may as well go all the way!

I'm seriously looking at selling mine though.

Donna who?

Not committed to anything Ron

I am kind of running out of things to mess around with on mine and getting kind of bored. Once I finish repairing the Kentucky road damage, which should be within the next ten days, I really have nothing more to do to it,

I had always planned on restoring my 82 camaro, but that's kind of looking a little boring also.

I suffer from AADDS, and have never been able to stay with anything for more than three or four years..so it is feeling like time to move on

I live in Yorktown, VA. There is a meeting of classics and hotrods every Saturday night at the Harley Davidson off of Rt 17 near Seaford, VA. I'll be there tomorrow night in my 76. Come on by and say hello. Starts around 6PM.

I'd like to join a club as well, but it's a long way to Va Beach. Anyone interested is starting up a new club on the Peninsula?

Take it to Cliff's Citgo on Rt 17 in Yorktown. I take my all of my cars including the vette and '29 Mercedes Gazelle replica. He understands about show cars.

As long as you include Smithfield

I'm new to Vettes, but I'm a native of hampton and have been into the car show/cruising/club scene for 30 plus years. There have been Peninsula Vette clubs that have come and gone over the years. Distance issue is similar here .... I live seven miles from the JRB and about 40 plus to Va Beach. The cruise-in at HD is limited to 85 back (snuck in once with my 87 though) but totally out of luck with my new '01. Going there tonight with the Peninsula VW Club but only as a spectator ... will be driving the 4x4. The Rat Pack is kind of the informal Peninsula club .... fun to chat on the forum and fun to see y'all at shows and stuff .... but something more might be nice as well.

I'll look for your '76 tonight!

Two people you might want to get to know

Bobby at D & M just past the Wendy's on 17 south in Gloucester, he does my inspections and also work I can't do on my Z28's. Bobby is outstanding!

Just past him, there's Wescott's Auto Bob Clements, very very good, but tough on inspections(won't even let me leave my corvette forum decal on the windshield during inspection). Bob does the work I can't do on the vette.

Reason for using two? Bobby is quite busy and can't necessarily leave the vette in the building overnight, Clement's either turns it around same day or leaves it inside overnight

Are you ready for a roof?

seeya

Didn't see you but I did meet some people from the PVWC. Were you one of them? I also have a 1929 Mercedes Gazelle kit car that sits on a VW frame and engine, so I'm thinking of joining the PVWC.

Missed you as well .... I came with the PVWC crowd but drove the 4x4 truck so I parked in the spectator lot. Saw Bernie and we chatted a bit ... by the time I made my way over to the back side you musta been gone.

By all means .... come on by a PVWC meeting! We will be at the Hampton Roads HD cruise again next Saturday (7/30). We're meeting at Pop's Drive In for dinner (right across the street) at 6PM, then head to the cruise in. Love to have ya!

(If nothing else .... you can help defend me when they rag on me about driving a Vette to the meetings!)

Will be in Detroit next week picking up a 75 vette for my son, so won't be at the show next week. Will try to make one of the meetings and we can tell them stories of real sports cars (vettes)

Sorry, I missed that show...keep me informed on more stuff going on...I'm just moving in so I forget..LOTS.

I agree it's a long way to Va Beach or Richmond, I'd be up for doing something. I live in Northern Gloucester Co. In fact I think there might be one house between me and the next county.

Anybody else from the Peninsula up for something even informally. And what is this infamous RATPACK I keep hearing so much about ?When and where do they get together...?

I saw on another post that there is a Hampton Corvette Club that I have never heard about. I'm trying to get info on it now. Will let you know once I find out anything.

If this doesn't work out, how many people out there are interested in starting a new club? I am willing to start the paperwork and host the first meeting.

Sounds good to me. Maybe if we get enough interest, we can invite Lars to come out and tune some cars.
