Looks now like the Mrs. wants to go to Nags Head this weekend since it will probably be nice. Nice drive down there too. Gotta keep her happy too... As long as we take the Vette I don't care I may try to get to the Dairy Queen cruise near Richmond... Rt 5 and I-295. I talked to someone at HD cruise this Sat and he said it was pretty good one.... Rt 5 is a pretty nice drive too from Poquoson... Will let you know if my plans change. Hopefully no rain thisFri-Sat.

Let me know when you're going to Richmond and I'll see if I can go. We can cruise up together. Maybe PortDawg can go too.

Went to DQ in Varina... pretty nice, met some real nice folks there... and the drive down Rt 5 was great too until I hit that bridge (Chickahominy) they spray water on to keep from jamming . Grafton Harley Davidson ... had a full house Sat nite, some nice Vettes there too. If it wasn't so hot may have been more

Anyone been to "Jenro" in Va Bch?... or Cosmo's in portsmouth. I heard they were good too..

Anyone going to Shriners in Chesapeake this Sat?

luv2sail21, next time you plan to come to the Route 5 DQ, let me know and I will meet you there. From what I have heard, last Friday night was a slow night as far as the number of cars. Usually have some very nice machines there.

Haven't heard of these. Are they cruise-ins? I'm interested, but it will have to wait until next month. BTW, I'm finally getting my chrome headers put on tomorrow. Can't wait...

I think the weather had everyone sitting at home as I talked to some folks there. It was hot as blazes that night.
I will give you a shout next time. Takes me about hour 1/2 to get there, but I love that drive down Rt 5.

We are going to the Shriners show in Chesapeake this Sat...

They are kind of "gatherings" Not just Vettes!

Trouble in the summer is the traffic at the HRBT

Jenro's is a cruise-in for all types of cars. It is open from 3 to 9 on Saturdays. They have waitress's providing "curb" service on roller skates. I was there last Saturday but it was so hot I only stayed about an hour. I have not gone to Cosmo's on the weekend so can't speak to that one.

I will certainly show up at the Shriners but not to show the vette. There are a lot of great cars at this one.

I'll be at Shriner's show vending instead of showing .... I'll be in the Toyota 4x4 with all of the vintage license plates for sale.

Jenro's is a good one ... yes it was definitely a hot one last Saturday.
From what I know about Cosmo's (on Portsmouth Boulevard, exit 11A off 664 but actually in Chesapeake) they have an informal street rod cruise in on Monday nights .... haven't heard of anything more.

Hey Ron, HamCrab and anyone else... probably see you there.. I'm gonna try showing mine.. will be our first with the '73. It sounds like it will be good, and hopefully not too hot. I will definitely be by to see those vintage tags...
