What time is this event? I'd love to come out and make some passes, mingle with the orlando folk, even though I don't have a helmet or drag radials, and will probably get kicked out. lol
Come on out! I have a brand new helmet. I have no problems letting you use it, so long as we our runs are far enough in between each other.

You can borrow mine as well...it's SA2000 rated and XL for my fat head...lol...with street tires, just roll into it off the line...the point is just to have fun anyway...
They say racing begins at 6 p.m. I'm not sure, but I beleive you can get in at 4 p.m. The track operator said it would be no problem for me to get in there at 4 so I can set some stuff up.
It is a regular test n' tune or "street drag" night...gates have always opened at 6 PM in the past...if there is a line to get in at 6 PM don't worry...it moves really fast...when you get to the entrance shack they ask if you are racing or not...$10 to spectate and only $5 more to race...if you are racing they give you a card to fill out...about 500' after the shack you get stopped again for a minute...they collect the card you have filled out (if you are racing)...with vette's they usually ask if you have a helmet...if you don't have one tell them you are borrowing or renting one...
Wear long pants or have long pants you can pull over your shorts (warm-up's, sweat pants, etc.)...wear a shirt with sleeves...short sleeves are OK (i.e. tee shirt)...if you have never drag raced before, Litevette will have a one page flyer on his table which has the basics of drag racing listed...also you can see him, me, Norm or any other experienced drag racer to answer any questions you might have...when I started I had a ton of questions...
If you are not racing, after you pay the $10 entry fee, you can go around the tech card stop...if they ask where you are going tell them to the vette show in the pits...
If you have ever wanted to try drag racing or just see what your vette can do this is the perfect time...there will be plenty of seasoned racers to help you out and show you the ropes...I promise you will have too much fun!!!!...see you there...
I just confirmed I'm leaving for Texas either tomorrow or Thursday
Dayum I wish they could have waited one more week. I've finally got the car running properly and the tranny broken in.
I'll be looking for some pix after this weekend. Have a few for me as I'll be working 12+ hr days

Well somebody's got to pay for that nice Vette! Too bad you can't make it though. I will try to get some good pics and post them here. I wanted to run with you, but looks like neither of our cars will be there. There's always next time!
