Tim, do you know if passengers are allowed on runs? If so, I want to take my son on a run or two. I think the the weather will clear by Friday night, and we will be there! Thanks, kevin

Yes, I've seen people take passengers down the track with them. That lax rule probably will change though if you get a real quick run. As a general rule, Speed World seems real lax. See you and your son soon!

DAMN THIS RAIN! I think a rain date?? It looks bleak but who knows. I will be leaving my place at 5pm if its wet I'll wait an hour. I made a few trips out that way only to find the gate closed from wet conditions. I wish they had a tel # that would let you know.

dogboy, I can't set a rain date because Speedworld will be tied up on the next wekend for the Fastest Street Car Shootout. I also have to buy the food wether or not anyone shows (just in case). But, I will get us together again at some point, wether or not this one is a bust.

Darn shame what happened...Randy (track manager) didn't see many cars in line and called it at 5:30...by 6 PM the weather was beautiful...sunny, 70's and dry as a bone...we all met up at Whataburger then caravaned to the hotel by Old Town and set up the BBQ in the parking lot...

We went out there... heard the track was closed. Then stopped at Whataburger for a bit.. no one showed up. So then we left and went back to Chris' (Stangkiller's) house... missed out on the gathering I guess.. oh well.
