I think I also saw a post from someone in Fredericksburg wanting to start a club there, but I'm not sure.

There's is not much of an organized group down here right now...
and we need to change that. Was that you driving Rt 1 North and then turning onto Rt 17 South this weekend?
Also, Aquia Creek Corvette Club shouldn't be too far away from you if you're looking at clubs...

Yours is the fourth LMB C6 I have seen around the 'Burg...We have to start getting all the Vette owners in the area together on Sunday mornings and then go have breakfast somewhere...

although we have to stop someplace different for eats...
What is Jack Evans?
In this gathering were a red '68 with a 383 stroker with sidepipes belonging to "broken bolt boy" herein after to be referred to as "B3", a '71 LT1 with a 383 stroker, Canfields, Flowmasters and Hookers belonging to commando57, an '05 coupe (yours truly) and Cheryl's Z.
The cruise started out innocently enough with B3 in his '68 leading the way followed by Cheryl in her Z, then me and Tom in his '71; just a leisurely drive through the Virginia countryside towards Port Royal with our ultimate destination being Colonial Beach.
Speeds were within an acceptable range. All of a sudden, Cheryl starts to disappear over the horizon because B3 decided it was time to stretch his legs on a deserted section with good visibility.
As I was hurriedly trying to keep Cheryl in sight, what to my wondering eyes does appear, "something" comes bouncing out from underneath Cheryl's Z directly towards me...
. Fortunately, I was being left far enough behind (dahmn but can that Z haul a$$) that what turned out to be one of the motor mount bolts from B3’s red '68 had stopped bouncing around and was now doing a low tumble/slide down the road and although it knocked into something underneath, it did so without any damage.
Luckily there was also no damage to Cheryl’s Z or Tom’s ’71 and we stopped at a roadside eatery for lunch before heading off to Colonial Beach. When we arrived, we found there was a car show going on so we stopped and walked around. After parking, we watched as everyone gathered around Cheryl’s Z to look at it.
It was a great day despite the broken bolt.
