I bought 1 extra session last year and used it on the very last group to run for the day. I plan on doing the same this year because someone will have to push Jeff around if he starts dragging his feet....

As suggested by Mike, I'd like to throw my name and C7 in the group. I'm registered and ready to go!

Thanks a lot Mike

You're more than welcome, Hal!

I can"t wait to see your Stingray up close!

I look to Tim as our pro video and picture taking extraordinaire from CF, and I'm willing to bet that a velocity yellar C7 will get a few snapshots

Spread the word around guys! Plenty of spots still available! I know its still months away but we are only about 1/4 of the way there right now...we need people to keep this event going each year. If you know anybody on the fence...do your best at persuading.

Yeah, I'd hate to see this event get canceled in future years due to lack of interest. What I still cannot figgure out is why there isnt a waiting list. The only thing I can think of the word isnt getting out to enough folks who if only knew would jump at the chance to run some laps at Talladega. That and maybe there are a few dropouts from previous years unhappy with speeds. I personaly bought 8 sessions and am bringing my brother who registered his 60s muscle. I'd buy more if I thought I'd have time to get them all in. Might have my hands full with 8.

Maybe everyone pick a generation specific forum and start a thread. I have one going in the C7 forum and I'll bump it along every so often.

If we get desperate we can recruit some ricers....KIDDING!!

Default First timer

Running six sessions, on relatively new tires (5k). Should I expect noticeable tire wear at this event? Not sure how rough the track surface and banking will treat them.

Thanks for any assurance that previous participants can provide.

See you there !

The Track is smooth as glass, but the banks do cause quite a bit of wear, I had R compounds on my car and you could see the rubber collecting on one side of the tire after the event.

I'm interested in attending this event; I saw the pictures/video's on CF and was jealous. Can someone please PM me the information to register and possibly hotels that members are staying at?

SOSLOW1

I am in Belle Chasse, just south of New Orleans so if there's a group going i would like to join in if you don't mind.

Find the registration page on that link

Motels,

There are two options in Pell city (about 10 miles ish from the track)...the holiday inn express and the hampton inn. They're both next door to each other, both have discounted rate of $79 per night (ask for the vettes4vets discount) and both of their parking lots will be like 80% Corvettes the night before track day.
