Well guys, Looks like I won't make it this year. Work has reared it's ugly head and I let it interfere with fun. Something I haven't let it do in some time.

Ya'll be sure to post up all the gory details so I'll feel as if I was there. I'll surely miss the infamous last laps...

Wow Robert you and the wife will be missed for sure! I'm going to try and post pics from each day once back at the motel. I'm going to make sure the car gets a good rest before the "Last" one happens..

Sorry to hear that Robert!!! You still have 4 days left...work on your boss! I have been known to work over or on extra days just to make this event.

I second Mike...from my understanding. When you pass through the gates you will be handed your package which should include your wristband, windshield garage location sticker, along with everything else.

So is this going to be different from previous years in that we will have no idea what time we're slated to be on the track until we get there saturday AM? In previous years, if my memory isn't completely failing me, we've always gotten a track schedule ahead of time.

Below is the email I just got from Jeff Williams today.

I want to start out by apologizing for not getting this out sooner. I spent the better part of yesterday and today on this spreadsheet and I think it is about 98% accurate. Please take a few minutes to find your name on the list and make sure you are running the correct amount of times and are in the correct group. I am coming up short by 2 for some reason and I just can’t find it.

I have to put this away for a bit because I am getting cross-eyed.

The attached schedule is an Adobe Acrobat image of my spreadsheet. If you see an error that needs to be corrected, please contact me ASAP. I will make changes to this sheet tonight and send out a final draft tomorrow. After that, we can make changes on the day of the event.

This is the run schedule. You will receive a V4V window decal to place on your car as a badge of honor along with numbered stickers associated with your run number. Some of you will have only one run number while other have as many as 8. We have a total of 387 runs so your numbers will range from 1 to 500.

The schedule is shown in 15 minute increments, but those of you that have done this before know we can get through a session in as short as 11 minutes depending on how nice people are being on the track. The times shown on these pages are only estimates.

If you see this and notice that your first run is at 2:30 PM, please don’t wait until2:00 to show up at the track. We stage cars an hour in advance of their runs and chances are we will be finished by 3:00 PM with all the pre-sold runs. After that, we will be offering additional runs for $25.00 each.

If you want to run on the track wide open, all you need is a NASCAR approved and certified chassis and personal safety gear on you and your car. If you don’t possess these items, then please don’t be reckless on the track. Our future events rely on your safe participation.

Thanks,

Jeff Williams

Tim that's a good idea, works for me. Where are we taking the photo? Victory lane would be cool but anywhere is fine.

Hey random cool thought...Being we are doing a special Corvetteforum photo. Would you guys also be interested in a group Talladega Photo with everybody...think that would be cool too. If yes...I'll see what I can get organized with Jeff. Tim we would need your awesome skills and camera. You up for another shot?

Oh yea !!! Just a thought if we can get everyone and I'm talking a large group to get near the observation deck on pit road I'll be high enough looking down to get a very nice shot. With this full frame when I stick my 17-40 on it, it will shoot W I D E ! Also for our group shot Victory lane would be great !

Another thought during the drivers meeting most everyone is there listening and we could get the large group shot then. I just need to stand up on something to get it right there at the garage..Just a thought..
