Places to stay in the Tellico Plains, TN area
We're going to a wedding this June in Benton, TN and want to stay someplace cool in the Tellico Plains, area. Cabin, hotel, etc. Does anyone have suggestions? Thanks in advance

Hi Woodman -
You might try "The Lodge at Tellico" (4 stars) 423 253-2506. Nice folks who are motorcycle and sports car friendly. Be sure to check out Cherohala Skyway while you are there. Also US 129 "The Dragon" and the Blue Ridge Parkway if you have time for some more fun and scenic mountain roads. US 441 from Gatlinburg to Cherokee is a beautiful drive also.
If you do not mind the longer drive, the Topoca Lodge is awesome - 866 621-8913. They are at the other end of US129 (The Dragon) about 75 miles from Benton. It is located just over the Tennessee line in North Carolina.
E TN and W NC is a sports car and motorcycle wonderland. Let us know how you enjoyed your time here.
Sincerely,
Sandra

Gas pumps at Tapoco Lodge. Sorry I don't have a photo of their buildings. There are some here: https://tapoco.com/

Another vote for The Lodge at Tellico. Changed owners last year but I'm sure it's still a great place to stay.

Thanks for the recommendation, that's where we'll stay. I've spent a lot of time on all the roads you mentioned but always on a motorcycle and can't wait to get the car on them. We're planning the trip in a way that we'll be on the roads mid-week which be less congested. Thanks again.
