Not to worry Ron.....we saw it :D
High guys
Thanks Bob for the LS1 Edit offer, I will get the TC fixed, manual lock-up button for the top end
yeah it was a great time i had a blast too... slept 14hours sat night... i was wore out from the sat events... met a lot of cool folks and saw a lot of really fast cars
Definitely had a blast in Aiken...once we actually found the track!! Great group to hang with and the weather was great!! Abit windy but that's ok.
Thanks Tom for "hauling" down the "base camp" for all of us to enjoy.
I appreciate all those who brought the girls down so Renee could have someone to talk to and buddy up with...made my visit better since she enjoyed the day as well.
Congrats to Rick for getting some of his tuning sorted and to Jed for learning some ot the ropes. Street tires and the drag strip don't mix too well especially with the track not being blown off or swept up regularly.
Jed your times weren't what you expected....as I predicted on street tires, BUT with your trap times...YOU have a fast C5.
Rick your car is a beast in looks/sound and with more tuning...performance!! :yesnod:
Again thanks to all...glad I've hooked up with the RCG!!! :grouphug:
I have to tell you this, I met Dark Knight and his wife there. I've been trying to find a vette with a Billy Boat Exhaust System. Well Larry's beautiful red Vette had it. I asked all the questions about resonance and how he liked it. Well, Larry throws the keys at me and said to take it down the road and check it out. In this day of not really trusting people, especially ones you just met, I was blown away. This Corvette Community is changing my attitude towards people. It's the way it should be.
:yesnod: Dark Knight is a great guy. And he has one of the classiest looking C4's out there!
Hey anytime I just love playing with Vettes
we need to get together for another event SOON!!! :yesnod:
Bob I was with the group from Charlotte under the red tent Saturday/Black Z06/Cowl hood and got your card from you. I have the Z06/Magnacharger etc. that's got a locked PCM and running on the rich side. You have or have access to a dyno and can get into mine and tune? What $$ and time frame would I be looking at? IM or email if needed or I can give you a call. Thanks Randy
It was good to meet you Tom...I can't believe I never got down there to swipe a brat...every time I started to they called another round of racing..once I got knocked out there was a little propane problemo... ...next time you need to paint a number on your window and get in on the fun...

You will love it!....the rush is incredible...when the starter waves you up to the line your heart beats a little faster...then you fully stage and your mouth begins to get dry...your eyes are like saucers watching the tree and trying for a good reaction time...the lights drop and it's like your ears close up from the adrenaline...foot planted to the firewall for the full 1/4 mile rowing those gears...bang, bang, bang...and you're through the traps...you can't wait to get that timeslip and line up again....there's just nothing like it buddy... :D

I remember those feelings from my distant childhood. I can't wait to do it again.
