Default Divide this section?

Would you find it helpful if we were to carve out part of the Pacific geographic area in an attempt to make it easier to find local events?

This is a public poll. Others can see your vote.

A split to the 3 sections would be very useful. It is interesting to see what may be going on in other geographic areas of the Pacific, put would be nice to focus in on events, news, etc. closer to home. Great idea to split it IMHO

Definitely a good idea to break out CA from the Pacific section. There are so many events going on in CA (and especialy during the winter months) that it's really hard to keep track of things happening in the Pacific Northwest area.

Definitely a good idea to have a PNW section. It would help us zero in more quickly on things going on specifically in this part of the country that affect us in particular.

Thanks.

Three sections would be good. Where would central Calif fit in? A distinct line dividing Northern and Southern California would be a must. Good idea.

I'm not against a change, but I would not want to see a north/south CA split. For one thing, the dividing line would be arbitrary and a disservice to central coasters. For another, it is often useful to have a larger California perspective. Witness the recent A&A event in Oxnard... there were people coming from extreme northern and southern CA.

Also, where does Hawaii fit in with this proposal?

Yes, a PNW section would be wonderful. I hope this happens.

Yep.....my $.02 would be to just split Cali and the PNW.......that would be helpful. There's too many things that appeal to both NoCals and SoCals that it would be too hard to break down as a North/South Cali split (A&A, Yosemite, etc).....

I voted to leave it as is. I like seeing what's going on up north or down south. Being in the San Fran area allows me to take a little road trip if I've got any time

If it were split into separate sections, I'd likely never know what the other folks are curently doing

Yep, I think it would be a good idea to split it up three ways. Seems like that would help everyone involved get more focused attention on their area.

Plus if Im gonna make a trip up north or curious about whats going on up there, it would be simple enough to just go to that section.

Good idea!~~~JadeDragon

I find it confusing when people talk about the "bay area", not realizing that every region seems to have a "bay area". Definitely 3 sections.

Would definitely like to see a unique PNW section.

I think it makes sense to split up CA too, but would defer to CA residents.

I don't have a problem with the way it is but if the people in the PNW want their own section, that's ok with me. As far as splitting up California goes, it's a solution for a problem that doesn't really exist, but it would be a bit more hassle to deal with because there are many events that draw from Norcal and Socal. That means double posting to be sure everybody knows for the posters and having to check both sections to keep current for the viewers. Totally unnecessary and a pain.

2 or 3, a split is a great idea. Local events get lost in all the posts.
