As many of you know, I enjoy moding my Coupe and helping others do the same. I have a decent set of tools and a little bit of mechanical ability that I am always willing to share with others on the Forum. If anyone ever needs help with installing mods, maintenance, etc. give me a shout. You will save a few bucks and we might learn something new  .
My brother is building an awesome garage with a lift so I guess I can lose the floor jack in a few months  .

Hey Jim I'm changing out my rotors, sways and shocks might need a hand. Are you up for a day of mod fever? Or do you think it would take more than a day? Let me know and I'll take a small road trip your way?
Very cool indeed, Jim . . . How good are you at motor builds & swaps BTW ;)
Red -- Jim's right on the money -- probably be about 4 hours with two sets of hands -- about 6 hours with one set. Sways pretty much have to come off in order for the shocks to come off / go on, and unless you're swapping for something like coilovers or that has a larger shock body, you don't need to pull the ball joints.
Let me know if you guys need an extra set of hands, or need any help
I already have my new D/S rotors, I'll be picking up my shocks and sways on Tuesday. I'm getting the Hotchkics sways and the Bilstien Sport Shocks. I have a quick question b4 I pick them up.
Should I just go for the ZO6 sway and shock package or is this a upgrade from those?
My car is a daily driver but I also hit the mountain canyons and have my fair share of fun on the twisties that canyon driving gives you. So I'm looking for performance but I don't want to have such a stiff ride that it's uncomfortable to drive daily......
Oh by the way I'm pretty handy with a wench in my hand also. It's just fun to do a project with someone that has some of the same enthusiasm as you have about modding up a car.
I was hoping to install a twin-turbo setup next weekend. It may involve disassembling the LS1 to install beefier pistons, etc, but I figure two guys can tackle it in a a day or so. You in?
Seriously, it's people like Jim that make the Corvette hobby that much more fun. Jim and friends helped me install my Borlas and I, in turn, helped another member install his Z06 airbox. The added plus is that we don't have to deal with 30 year-old bolts that make things a bit less than fun (Those of you who have had older cars know what I mean).
For the $, I think the Z06 shocks and sways are a good deal but the Bilsteins and Hotchkis are quality pieces also. You can't go wrong with either setup.
You've always gone above and beyond in your willingness to lend a hand, Jim. That's pretty cool for a gay guy.
:nono: Alex, don't be so hard in Jim - I mean on Jim he's a good guy. If he wasn't so far away I'd stop doing my own work and let he do it for me. I think the 4 hrs. with both of you working sound about right.
CN Red, I know that is your daily ride so you should think hard about going with Z06 bars. There is still some comfort left in the ride and there is a night & day difference in the way the car will handle after the change. I don't drive mine every day, but when I do the Bilstein Sports & Z06 Sway Bars keep the car FLAT (no nose dipping - and you know how I drive); tires on the road; and there is still some comfort left for those long trips. Anyway, I'm glad to see you are finally going for it. Let me know when you guys finish, I just need a excuse to find some twisties with a friend or 2, or 3, or 4 ..... ( if gas isn't $5.50 a gal.)
 How's it going down there in the land of more sunshine than up here (coastal fog & marine layers).
You might not get too many offers for actual work. I have had many people tell me they wanted help w/installs & never heard from them again. Hmm..That does leave me more time to drive ;).
Gotta get down your way soon, want to see what changes were made to the zoo & visit the wild animal park.
Later, gotta go start preparing for my Easter Bar-B-Q & grandkids.
