boyds is who we use at Mercury for all our engine needs. That says a lot since we have our own High Perf Engine shop in Wisconsin.

Where did spring go?

I put 10 gallons of gas in the Vette a couple of days ago, now I'm smelling gasoline in the garage but I can't find a source. *sigh*

I was hoping. With ~1 gallon everything was fine, I put more in once the weather was nice enough to drive...I'm hoping it's just exhaust fumes that got trapped...it's not overpowering, and if there is a leak it's small enough that it's not dripping to the ground. I've got the garage airing out, we'll see if it comes back.

My garage is still in the high 40s. Need some sunlight on the driveway to warm things up in there.

Well I hope its nothing major. At least its not dripping so thats a good indication that its not a huge leak. Did you RTV all the surfaces when you put the system back together? They have a fuel safe option that will really seal everything up well.

As far as your garage just insulate it and throw a small heater in there. Mine gets chilly but with the heater where Im working I dont mind it at all. Im not saying I dont want it warmer cause I do but the space heater makes working in there in the winter tolerable.

I was there today and Beav is right that CRM ZR-1 was pretty impressive. But for $121K I guess it should be. there was a torch Red GS Vert there that was very nice, hash marks and all. Other than the Corvettes there were a couple of very cool Jags and an awesome black AMG SL there. Other than some of the cooler stuff just the same 'ol new car stuff.

There's only one surface, and it's an o-ring that was properly treated per the factory manual. The other possibility I thought of later (which I'll check if the smell lingers) is the line itself...I replace the rubber section between the tank and the steel line that runs the length of the car. I'm pretty sure I got it hooked up well enough, but it might be worth a look. Or it could be something completely different...the fuel system on this car has leaked at almost every possible spot, so who knows?

I've got a couple of space heaters, but I'll probably be deployed most of next winter, and I'm expecting orders shortly thereafter...I'm still thinking about the insulation though, it certainly won't hurt the resale value. It's definitely going to be one of my first investments in the next house though.
