I am new to the Vette world but have been dealing with RPI on an order as well as a couple potential orders.
The guy I spoke with was very nice and helpful after they finally answered, but not sure if I will order again.

I was watching the tracking on my recent order which seemed to be taking a long time. The tracking said processing the entire time even after the item arrived 3 weeks later. I attempted to order carbon flash spats and rock guards and was told 5 weeks. I ordered the exact same parts through CCA and they are due to arrive tomorrow. It took 4 days...
I am not sure why items take so long through RPI.

Just heard from Chris again (RPIDON) on here. He messaged me stating it should be shipping tomorrow and to reach out to him Wednesday if I do not show that with a tracking number. He is being very helpful!!

well I am glad someone is hearing something. Again I have not had bad luck at all with RPI, been ordering since 2008. I just received an email asking for pics for the part that would not fit... still no Label to return ( promised 3/6). Here is my response to their email today that came almost 2 weeks after notifying them thru their website:
  • I sent this request on 3/3 thru your website….thats almost 2 weeks ago guys !! I also sent an email and PICS to Josh who did not care to even acknowledge it.
  • So I filed a complaint with Pay pal on the same day, PICS were again sent.
  • You guys responded with a"send it back for full refund” thru PP on 3/4.
  • I responded with a "please send shipping label” on 3/4.
  • On 3/6 I was told a shipping label was sent, I scoured my email , junk and trash… no label got to me, again on the 8th I reminded you no label thus far,
  • Reminded again on the 10th, to which you responded "will have my shipping department send today”.
  • I reminded you on the 11th, 12th and 15th.

Not sure what is going on over there but is not good.

I always pay for all parts with my credit card. If there is a problem and the company gives me the run around, I just call the credit card company and reverse the payment. The couple times I had to do that, the company moved real fast to resolve the issue.

Yup paid with PayPal not worrying about the $$... oh I will get that back . If this is what happens on just getting a label sent .. Now that said ..how much is the virus crap effecting this ?? I have no Idea, not only can I not get a ..”sorry for the delay...due to covid 19.....” , I cannot get ANY response...sent a PM to RPI DON...shall see what happens. I have defended them on here ...all based on my experience which has been slow .. but above board.

So is it better to pay by Credit Card or with PayPal?

I have always had good luck with both. The way paypal works (as I understand it) is , while you are using them for the purchase, but you assign the costs to anyone of your CCards ( or link to a bank). Honesty I have not had to evoke any bad purchase issues with AMEX, Paypal resolutions have always been effective, but depending on the vendors participation and responses, it will take a month or so. A good example is my situation with RPI, they have agreed to my refund but have spent almost 2 weeks getting me a label. While I can easily ship this piece back, that is not the point, this piece was not even close to fitting and they should be responsible for getting it back.

Try paulrpidesigns@gmail.com. This goes directly to him and runs the operation or owns it. I had an issue with a wrong part they sent and it took 3 months to get reimbursed. What got their attention was the disputed charge on my credit card. They were difficult to deal with so I won't use them again. Good luck and have patience.

Getting frustrated to say the least. When I ordered I was told 4-5 weeks, Week 6 came and was told by Jenn Monday of last week (Last time I heard from her) that it would be out of paint Wednesday of last week and ship by end of the week. RPIDON replied to my private message Monday saying it would ship no later than yesterday and still as of today it shows IN THE PAINT SHOP. Communication is all I ask for, if its delayed or its still in process, just keep me updated is all I ask. Dont make promises if its not going to happen. I really want to order more stuff from them but this experience has not been good at all. Now I am halfway through week 7.

RPI is a complete joke. Received a damaged ZR1 spoiler over 2 months ago and have tried contacting them multiple times to resolve it with no luck. Ended up having to file a complaint with my credit card company. Anyone thinking of spending any money with these guys should run FAR AWAY.

Are you actually waiting on shipping? You know that whole COVID-19 thing? Yeah, that lil sumbitch is gonna delay even the best estimates. Y'all need to be giving these guys a break - not just RPI - the whole industry. From manufacturing, to painting to shipping and deliveries. Relax.

Yes I am ACTUALLY waiting on a order to ship from them, Mine was ordered 7 weeks ago, WELL before all of this. Besides, if they are delayed due to the virus, then as I said a few times, then just communicate. Dont keep giving false shipping dates if its not going to ship at that time. That just frustrates a customer even more. Honestly and transparency is key for any business when your customer orders online and puts faith the product will be shipped.

Also, as a Site Sponsor, I think the Admins of the site should be paying attention to these things to ensure the money we are sending to these "Sponsors" are not common issues with many others.

Be careful, I was banned twice for "mod bashing". ...anyway, if you had put this in the right forum, maybe they might pay attention. I'm not defending RPI - there is a commo gap - but you're kinda triggered here a bit too much.

With so many negative experiences, its easy to put myself in any of their shoes... I would never place myself in that position.. Im looking for some engine dress, and not willing to deal with a company that will not return my calls or stand behind their products and require ME to pay return shipping for a defective part . Thanks for the experiences and the similarity from many members experiencing the same problems. I dont want to be another victim. I'm sure many people get a smooth transaction, but I measure a company based on their response to a problem, and their transparency and communications. Good service should be expected,
Bill aka ET.

Sorry but you lost me. What does the Coronavirus have to do with a company taking people’s hard earned money then not have the business ethics or customer service skills to communicate with their customers. I don’t believe for a second the entire staff at RPI are sick with the Coronavirus unless you have FACTS to the contrary.
