Default RPI, Customer Service question?

Is it always pretty much impossible to get in touch with anyone at RPI? I placed a Jan 30th and they said 4-5 weeks. Today is the end of the 6th week, and no matter the time of day during business hours I call no one answers, it always goes to voice mail. I was told last week my order would be out of paint no later than Wednesday and would ship within 2 business days. Order still shows in paint so just trying to connect with someone there, but it seems impossible. Is this common?

I am sure the quality will be great once I get it, but the lack of the ability to reach anyone is not good.

I've had reasonably good luck with emailing them but it sometimes takes a couple nudges.

I ordered a number of items from them last summer and had the best luck calling them first thing in the morning. You may want to give that a try if you haven't already.

A couple years ago I found a new employee (he said) quite responsive. Unfortunately, that was because we were interacting--repeatedly--over a faulty product that should never have been sent out at all. We interacted so much because he seldom had any idea what he was talking about, necessitating multiple changes to what he'd previously written me. I've since opted to shop elsewhere; so, I cannot speak to more recent patterns of behavior on their part.

I have a painted part ordered 6 weeks ago.Haven't called yet knowing custom painted parts can have a possible delay with unknown circumstances.
I will start with contacting them in another week.Hopefully I don't have to haunt.

ordered parts (splitter and side skirts) 30th october got them Jan 6th. Web site said in for paint the whole time. wasnt a problem over Christmas anyway. I had sent emails asking questions about the underpan being used for the splitter, it took a long time to get an answer but then the answer was didnt know. As long as they have been doing Vettes they could have just said there is no way it will work

Are you serious? Looks like 9 weeks.Figure one week for shipping on the economy price, then 2 more extra on time estimated at the sold date of 6 weeks.

I guess for the price they were ok. I didn't look at mine that close before I took them to have XPel applied to them. When installing them I noticed alot of fingerprints in the paint. Ended up in areas not exposed after install so didn't worry about it but made me question a few things about any future business.

I think it just depends on whether it's a custom part or not. I ordered exhaust parts from them on Jan 14 and got them on Jan 17. Custom parts are always slow. No matter where you order them from.

Default N A For me

Never Again Ordered a license plate frame advertised as carbon fiber on a heavy duty brass base. I got a flimsy made in China piece I could have gotten on eBay for next to nothing. But worth that. RPI's response? Well there wasn't one.

Been using RPI since 2014.. yes I see the complaints, I have offered my input on my experiences with them. I have always found them to be moderately priced and efficient. However recently ordered a few (at different times) and while the ship times on painted parts has been 6-7 weeks, I am fine with it. The last part received was a painted radiator intake cover, which totally did not fit... not even close. Reached out to Josh, no response, reached out thru website..no response.
Submitted a Paypal complaint and got a response they will take back but did not offer a return label to ship, was promised a label a week or more ago!!! Really ?
I remind them thru PP of their promise...we shall see where it gets. What I found odd was no questions about why or in what way it did not fit, as the one in the pic did. This will do it for me unfortunately... just an odd non response.

Ill keep everyone updated when I get any response. I know they were up front and said 4-6 weeks, so that isnt that part that concerns me since this past Friday was the end of the 6th week, but just a simple reply when me as a customer is asking for a status since it was supposed to this this past week per their time frame would be nice.
