I could barely catch my breath when I saw this Corvette, because it is absolutely one beautiful piece of machinery.

The 1962 silver roadster, being showcased by RK Motors Charlotte, is equipped with a GM Performance Parts LS376 V8 / 480 horsepower fitted to a Tremec TKO600 5-speed manual transmission. Other performance features include a Street Shop chassis / C4 Corvette suspension, Power rack-and-pinion steering, and Dana 44 rear axle / 3.50 gears.

That can’t-keep-your-eyes-off-it silver is a color used on the Porsche GT, which definitely gives this ‘Vette additional star appeal.

Interior highlights include a red-hot Al Knoch interior, rebuilt gauges, a reduced diameter steering wheel with wrapped rim around a stainless Flaming River column, and a polished cross-flag horn button.

A frame off build, the roadster was first restored in 2011, but I can’t imagine it looking any less striking now than the day it rolled out of the old St. Louis manufacturing facility some 53 years ago. The work put into restoring this classic looks and sounds well worth the $139,000 listed price, which you can get a better sense of in the video and slideshow below.
