Late Model Racecraft Is on a Roll
It may seem like we’ve gotten a little gaga over Late Model Racecraft lately, but can you blame us?
After all, the Texan tuning shop has been absolutely crushing drag strips lately. And we’re not just talking about their most recent headline-grabbing, record-setting foray into the 8s, the first C7 to do so, with an astounding 8.85 @ 160 mph run.
While it would be easy to let that feat overshadow everything else the shop is up to, we thought you’d appreciate a look at two of LMR’s other bomber builds as well.
Here’s their LMR800HP package installed on a 2015 C7 Z06. Sure, it ain’t 8s, but 9.8 @ 138 mph is still impressive. Unfortunately, the video doesn’t mention if it’s sporting the Supercharged or Twin Turbo package, but you can get all the juicy details on both at their website. And the shop’s already gotten to work on the new Grand Sport too. Here’s a look at their LMR750HP package installed on a 2017 Grandsport Corvette, which runs a 10.3 @ 134mph while pitted against a supercharged C7 from another shop.
