This C4 Corvette Has Turbochargers for Headlights

It makes sense that this C4’s 1/4 mile times aren’t shown. Test and tunes are sensitive areas where one can only guess the true potential of a car. Especially if it is about to compete in an NMCA event. So even though I like to give 1320video a poke every now and then about the claimed HP numbers in their videos, I’ll let this one slide and simply admire the car for what it is.

This C4 is hurled down the strip by a 540 cubic-inch big block Chevy, with two 88mm turbos placed in the headlights to supplement the air intake. With boost only set at 35PSI, and capability to have over 50PSI, they claim the motor isn’t even trying during these first test runs. Even if it is just testing, it is still an impressive force down the strip. It launches clean and consistent, and once the power-band kicks in, it lifts the front wheels up… a little while after it has left the gate. We cant wait to get some more updates on this bad C4. NMCA All American Nationals are going to be held this weekend at Lucas Oil Speedway in Indianapolis, so it will likely put on a show!
