2027 Corvette Faces Several Constraints in Second Order Cycle

2027 Corvette Grand Sport

While there is some good news for 2027 Corvette shoppers in the latest order cycle, there are also some real head-scratchers.

One could assume that by now – eight years into its eighth generation – the Corvette wouldn’t be facing any supply chain constraints, but that simply isn’t the case. Rather, C8 shoppers continue to face some familiar constraints, as well as some new ones, with the passing of each order cycle, which can be frustrating for those who covet those particular options. This is true of the relatively new 2027 Corvette as well, which is just entering its second order cycle now, in the middle of May.

As is always the case, Corvette Blogger was quick to identify these constraints, which contain some good news this time around, coupled with a bit of bad news. On the bright side, Pitch Gray Metallic is now available in limited quantities, as is also the case with Admiral Blue. The availability of that latter hue has improved significantly since the first order cycle for the 2027 Corvette as well, beyond just Grand Sports.

Additionally, the ZR1X has appeared on our constraints list for the first time, which could signal that GM is ready to use the same allocation and ordering process that other Corvette models are subjected to, rather than the previous method of relying on a somewhat super-secret and direct ordering method. Otherwise, Alcon’s pretty amazing J59 brakes are now listed as having very limited availability, which is a problem for folks who have been waiting to order a ZR1 with the ZTK Performance Package.
